Jonah’s Biliary Atresia Journey Thanks for following Jonah’s Journey. On March 19, 2021, he was diagnosed with a rare liver disorder, Biliary Atresia.

We appreciate all of the prayers and support as we navigate this journey and put our hope in the Lord. We have partnered with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) for assistance with a lifetime of transplant-related expenses. 5 years to celebrate 💚
1,825 ordinary moments because God orchestrated a perfect match ♻️

Today is Jonah’s 5th Liverversary that we celebrated alongside Coco’s 1st Liverversary earlier this week and before Jonah excitedly started kindergarten.

Thank you to everyone who has been on this journey since day one, as well as a special shout out to those rocking green today, donating blood this month or generously supporting BARE Inc. 🖐️

Jonah has quite a few appointments coming up to check on his liver, including THE big lab draw and a biopsy. We will keep everyone updated on how those go in the fall.

We’ve discussed how long we will celebrate Liverversaries, and have no fear, we have no plans on stopping. We will continue to use Jonah’s Journey to spread hope in challenging moments and bring awareness to Biliary Atresia 🕊️

On March 19, 2021 our world was shattered as we learned Jonah had a rare infant liver disease, Biliary Atresia. In five years, it is still hard to look back on that first year following diagnosis. 💚
It’s also easy to celebrate where Jonah is today - currently playing with a whoopie cushion (5 yo boys, am I right?!?) - and how our family has grown.
God had very different and big five year plans for our family, and the way this date put it all into motion isn’t how we would have requested the message, but we are grateful for being drawn under His wings and closer together 🕊️
