Please help ban data centers in our communities!! Sign the petition. https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/baltimore-city-data-center-ban?source=direct_link&

Data centers are one of the biggest threats facing the working class and our environment. Baltimore communities deserve to be protected from resource extraction and increased surveillance. Baltimore should not become a sacrifice zone for the sake of developers and corporate interests.

Taking stock of all the mushrooms in the herbal sanctuary & around the house. So many that I’ve never seen before. This consistent rhythm of pulsing rain, sun & thunder have flushed so many fruiting fun guys!

Herbal knowledge is, in large part, so fractured, feared & distorted in the U.S. I am saddened to see people suffer at the hands of broken traditional ecological knowledge. My humble efforts as a plant medicine educator & land steward are to mend & care for these broken pieces & create as many access points, toward true healing, for people as possible. The plant path has deepened every part of what it means to be a human on this earth. This is medicine.

Made some gluten free Tulsi (O.africanum) pancakes. Added a little bit of O. sanctum (growing this variety for the first time from seeds I got from Mama Amma).
Check out the recipe. You can make them classic or crepe like.

Focusing on Tulsi for our next Herbal Compass CSA session. We’ll chat all about the in’s & out’s of all 4 varieties. It can be a bit confusing.

I always have to pinch the tops to make sure they continue to bush out & I like to work with fresh herbs as much as possible. These are nutritious & delicious. Lots of green goodness helping sharpen the mind & filled with antioxidants. Food is medicine.
