Twenty years ago if i saw someone in community with locs chances are I knew them and if i didnt it was a natural conversation starter. It was likely that they had healthier diets,on a spiritual journey or aware of the origins of locs in KMT and the diaspora. Today for many its just a style of convenience… periodt! Some think its a pass to neglect their hair.
What ever way they do come at some point
I make it my business to pass on the history and traditional beliefs of hair locking at some point during our journey together. ✌🏾
