I am a certified lifestyle coach specializing in promoting positive mindset development, sustainable living practices, and implementing strategic, long-term lifestyle changes to support personal growth and well-being. Originally, I started practicing yoga as a way to improve my flexibility and supplement my gym routine. I did 28 out of the 30 days and I realized that I was gaining so much more tha
n flexibility; I had gained a deep connection along with an understanding of my body that resided with me well off my mat. I began working at Charm City one day a week, which turned into several times a week, then became the manager for 4.5 years. I continued my fitness passion by delving into the YogaWorks 200 Hour Teacher Training in 2016; learning many different styles of yoga, yogic philosophy, all the while deepening my own personal practice. Once I graduated from my training in 2017 I took the leap into becoming a full time yoga instructor; I wanted people to feel as empowered, relaxed, and happy when they finish a class as I did after my first one all those years ago. The past 5 years have provided many privilege's from growing my private clientele, volunteer teaching yoga to teens in Baltimore City, teaching at breweries, at music festivals and other special events. In 2020, I earned my ACE Group Fitness Certification to expand my knowledge in high-intensity workout styles like boot camp, spin, Pilates, and group strength training. My passion for strength training led me to become a Senior Fitness Specialist, where I supported Cardio-pulmonary Rehabilitation patients through chair yoga, breathwork, and the development of therapeutic exercises. In 2021, I completed the Diabetes Prevention Program training, becoming certified to lead the CDC-recognized curriculum as a Lifestyle Coach. During my time as a Fitness Specialist at Saint Agnes, I continued my professional development and taught a virtual series of ‘Well-Being Sessions,’ offering continuing education credits for Ascension associates across the country. I also became a certified Mental Health First Aider and joined the Patient-Associate Care Team, where I guide chemotherapy patients through seated stretches and exercises twice a week. Currently, I work as a Lifestyle Interventionist at the University of Maryland Medical System, teaching Baltimore residents how to manage stress, exercise, and eat well to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. Volunteering is something I truly cherish, and on Saturdays, I lead yoga for BMore Global, a program that raises funds to send Baltimore City teens abroad for Spring Break educational experiences.
