Well… at least I know he’s paying attention to my posts. Apparently “put yourself first” was open to interpretation. 🤦‍♀️

Does life have you overwhelmed? This is what you do. Pull back.

Literally start saying no to the things you don’t think you can say no to. Give yourself a day. Two days. Whatever it is that you need. From this space, you are able to reconnect with your truest self and your truest desires. You will know how to move forward and in what direction.

Focus on one day at a time. One hour at a time. Do whatever you need to do to find your balance. Rest. Get outside. Cancel something. Be alone. Have fun. Do absolutely nothing (one of my favorites).

The more you operate from a place of balance, the harder it becomes to get pulled out of it. This I know.

No matter where you are going, it truly matters how you get there.

Whether you are someone just living life or someone fulfilling a dream, know this.

How you get there matters.

Listen to your body. Listen to your heart. Slow down. REST when you need to, and even when you don’t.

Sometimes rest is fun. Sometimes it is stillness. Slower days. Beach days. Time with people you love. Whatever it is that slows you down enough to connect with yourself and the world around you.

This is the permission you have been waiting for.

Life is short. Destiny is destiny. You do not have to rush, push, or exhaust yourself trying to get where you are meant to be. Trust you will get there. Know it will be at the exact moment you are meant to.

How you feel in each moment of every day is what truly matters.

Take care of yourself along the way.

Somewhere between mile 1 and mile 2, I had a massive mind shift.

I went into the Falmouth Road Race with three intentions:

Run. Finish. Stay injury-free.

I wasn’t concerned with how fast I would get there. I just wanted to get there.

I believe deeply that we are always supported. Always.

Yet somewhere along the way, I realized I had a block when it came to running.

I wasn’t seeing the support.

And then, between mile 1 and 2, I became present enough to recognize it.

I was being supported the entire way.

Once I saw it, everything changed.

Even the hills.

Instead of seeing them as something I had to struggle through, I decided they were there for my advantage.

Every uphill had a downhill waiting on the other side — a place where I could recover, pick up my pace and make up time.

The hills didn’t change.
I did.

I listened to my body. I stopped worrying about what running was supposed to look like and decided I would simply find my way to the finish.

Run when I could.
Walk when I needed.
Go around the emotions when they showed up.
Keep moving forward.

And isn’t that life?

It’s not how fast you get there.
It’s not even how you get there.

What matters is that you decide — and keep moving toward where you want to go.

We are supported along the way. Always.

Sometimes our own blocks simply keep us from seeing it.

And sometimes, the very thing we think is working against us is actually working for us.

Today, I saw it.

And I finished strong.❤️

Maybe the goal isn’t an easier life.

Maybe it’s becoming strong enough, wise enough, and grounded enough to navigate whatever life brings.

Life will challenge you, over and over again. It will change you. It will ask things of you that you never expected.

When you build strength within yourself, you stop needing life to be easy in order to be okay.

You begin to trust that no matter what it is that comes, you will know how to handle it.

That kind of trust changes everything.
