Little Pines Pediatric Therapy

Teamwork makes the dream work… especially when the wrench is tiny!

We were hard at work putting together some new furniture at Little Pines today when one of our smallest team members decided to show us how that tiny Allen wrench is actually supposed to be used.

Needless to say, we were humbled.

We think the Allen wrench may need a new name: the Walter Wrench — perfectly sized for little hands and BIG problem-solving skills! 👏🏼

We love watching our Little Pines kiddos find creative ways to participate, problem-solve, and show us what they can do.

Someone had to test out all the fun before our BIG opening next week… and I think that smile says Little Pines approved!

We’re slowly transitioning a few of our kiddos into the clinic this week, testing out equipment, figuring out organization, and working out all those little details before we officially open our doors!

And of course, our tiny equipment testers are taking their jobs very seriously.

✂️🌲 FIRST HAIRCUT: CHECK! 🌲✂️

Sometimes the biggest milestones come with a cape, a pair of clippers, and a whole lot of patience. 💚

For some kiddos, a haircut isn’t just a haircut. The sounds, the buzzing, the unfamiliar sensations, sitting still, and letting someone near their head can be a BIG deal.

This week, we got to celebrate a very special first haircut!

We’re so grateful for the wonderful people in our community who are willing to slow down, be patient, meet our kiddos where they are, and understand that success might look a little different for every child.

Clinic update from our youngest “employee.”

The unofficial Little Pines equipment tester has officially clocked in!

One of the perks of having an OT mom? Every new therapy tool has to be thoroughly “tested” before the patients arrive.

✅ Sensory table approved.
✅ Giant chalk wall approved.
✅ Endless imaginative play approved.
✅ Making a giant mess... also approved.
