Sometimes people hear “integrative” and picture essential oils, a cabinet full of supplements for sale, or a complete rejection of conventional medicine. We love our diffuser, we do check your vitamin D, and we do have some issues with the healthcare system, but that is not what we mean by integrative gynecology.

Here’s what we mean. Nothing gets ruled out for being conventional. Nothing gets included for being trendy. The standard is the same either way, which is whether there’s good evidence it helps you.

So the conventional tools stay on the table, and we add the questions (and humanity) many visits skip. Your sleep, stress, cycle, what changed in the last year. The answer often lives there, and a fifteen-minute visit doesn’t have room to find it.

Evidence-based, always. Just not rushed.

Our new member showcase at the Batavia Chamber of Commerce event at Sturdy Shelter Brewing yesterday was lovely. We could not have felt more welcomed. Good Energy Women's Health is women owned and women led. Independent, too, which means your provider decides how much time you get, not a suit or an insurance company. That's rarer than it should be. Most physicians no longer own their practices, and women own them least often.

We're building a gynecology space meant to be safe and validating, especially for the people medicine has been quickest to dismiss: women, LGBTQ+ patients, and anyone who has learned to brace before an exam. Trauma-informed care is our foundation.

We measure success by whether you get better and whether you felt heard, not by how many people we move through the door.

En Good Energy, creemos que la atención a la salud se siente más segura y más honesta cuando se recibe en el idioma que mejor conoces. Por eso, Maria Escamilla ofrece consultas en español, desde el cuidado preventivo hasta la fertilidad, la anticoncepción y la salud ginecológica integral.

Pain with gyn procedures like IUD placement has been dismissed for too long. We don’t think that should be the norm. Trauma informed care means taking your pain seriously.

At Good Energy Women’s Health, nitrous oxide is available for in-office procedures at no additional charge.

Comfort shouldn’t be something you have to ask for or pay extra to get. We think it should just be part of the care you receive. If you’ve been avoiding an appointment because of what happened last time, we hope this changes that. We open in October, and our waitlist is live now (link in bio).

Every body that walks through Good Energy’s doors deserves care without judgment.

So much of gynecologic care has historically come with an undercurrent of harm and shame, about size, about scars, about how a body looks compared to some invisible standard. That’s not how we practice. Your body has carried you far, and it deserves a provider who sees every part as something to celebrate, and works to keep it well.
