Tonight, some of our crews had the opportunity to tour the new apartments at the former Dana Lyon School along side the The Bath Volunteer Fire Department.

These pre-incident walkthroughs are an important part of preparing for future emergency responses. They allow our crews to become familiar with the building’s layout, access points, and any challenges we may encounter when bringing equipment into the building during an emergency.

We would like to send our thanks to the property managers for taking the time to show us around and answer our questions. We appreciate the opportunity to become familiar with the property so we can continue providing the best possible service to our community.

Word of the Day: NO.

Two letters.
One syllable.
Zero trips to the burn center.

Let’s practice:

❌ No, your cousin isn’t suddenly a licensed pyrotechnician because it’s the Fourth of July.

❌ No, watching three TikToks and one YouTube video does not make you a fireworks expert. It makes you someone with Wi-Fi.

❌ No, “Hold my b**r, I’ve done this before” has never ended with, “…and everyone clapped.”

❌ No, “It’ll be fine” is not a safety plan. It’s usually the opening line of a 911 call.

❌ No, Roman candles are not meant to be held. They’re definitely not meant to be aimed at your buddies.

❌ No, if your first aid kit consists of aloe vera and “walking it off,” you’re not prepared.

❌ No, your HOA doesn’t need a surprise reenactment of the Revolutionary War.

❌ No, if your dog, your neighbors, and the local wildlife are all running away…maybe you should too.

❌ No, we do not want you lighting fireworks.

✅ Yes, we do want you to keep all of your fingers!

Sometimes the smartest, safest, and most patriotic thing you can say is the shortest:

NO.

🇺🇸 Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!

Today marks another year since we lost Trooper Nicholas F. Clark, and not a day goes by that you aren’t remembered.

Nick wasn’t just a New York State Trooper, he was our friend. So many of us at Bath Ambulance were fortunate enough to know you, to laugh with you, and to make memories that we’ll always cherish. Your smile, your sense of humor, and the friendships you built left a lasting impact on all of us.

Nick, thank you for always having our backs and for keeping us safe. Your dedication to serving others never went unnoticed, and neither did the kindness you showed to everyone around you.

We wanted to make sure your friends and family knew you were still watching over us. Chris and Billy spent countless hours painting light bulbs so the star could shine brightly over Mossy Bank, overlooking the village you helped protect. Every time that star lights up, it’s a reminder that your memory continues to shine just as brightly in all of our hearts.

One moment we’ll never forget is seeing porch lights across our community and in so many surrounding communities glowing blue for weeks on end. It was a simple but powerful reminder of how many lives you touched and how deeply you were loved. The outpouring of support showed that an entire community stood behind you and your family, and that your sacrifice would never be forgotten.

Today, we remember your sacrifice, honor your service, and hold your family, friends, and fellow Troopers close in our thoughts.

You may be gone, but you’ll never be forgotten. You’ll always have a special place in our hearts, and we’ll continue to tell the stories, share the laughs, and remember the moments that keep your spirit alive.

Rest easy, Nick. Your watch is over. We’ll take it from here.

💙🖤
