Lung disease is a common diagnosis in hospice patients. Here are some of the criteria that would be looked at in evaluating the need of hospice. -shortness of breath while at rest
-shortness of breath that does not respond with inhaler use
-increased visits to ER or physician with respiratory issues
-decreased oxygen levels while on room air- less than 88%
-unintentional weight loss
- a resting heart rate of more than 100 beats per minute.
If you or someone you know may qualify for hospice please feel free to reach out as we can come out and do an evaluation at no cost!
