Helping women recover, move & thrive. Massage • Movement • Coaching

The Wellness Path was established in 2020 by Mindy Ruddock.

The Wellness Path helps women understand, trust, and work with their bodies through recovery, movement, and practical guidance. Whether you're navigating pain, rebuilding strength, managing hypermobility, or simply ready to feel better in your body, you'll find support that's built around you—not a one-size-fits-all plan.

I am right in the middle of this too.

Perimenopause has been a real lesson in how much our bodies can change, sometimes all at once.

Sleep. Energy. Recovery. Heat tolerance. Mood. Workouts. The whole picture can feel different.

I am actually starting HRT now, and for me this season has been less about “fixing” myself and more about learning what support I need.

That includes how I train.

Some days I can push.
Some days I need to adjust.
Some days recovery needs to come first.

And I think that is an important conversation for women to have.

You can still get stronger. You can still make progress. You may just need a different approach than the one that worked for you before.

If you are trying to figure out how to navigate movement, strength, and recovery through perimenopause, this is exactly the kind of support I want to offer.

Michelle is claiming her self-care this September.

And for her, self-care looks like showing up, getting stronger, and making time for herself.

It doesn’t always have to be quiet or relaxing. Sometimes self-care is picking up the weights and doing something today that your future self will thank you for.

Strong absolutely counts as self-care.

Have you set you September self care goals?

September is Self-Care Awareness Month

Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes it’s a massage. A walk. Lifting weights. Drinking more water. Going to bed earlier. Or finally making a little room for yourself too.

This month I’ll be sharing simple ways to recover, move, and feel better in your body.

What’s one thing you’re doing for yourself this September?

I think we need to stop defining strength by what it looks like on someone else.

For one woman, strength might mean lifting heavier.

For another, it might mean getting through the day with more energy, feeling steady on her feet, moving without fear, or finally trusting her body again.

That is why I do not believe in one-size-fits-all fitness.

Your goals matter.
Your history matters.
Your season of life matters.

When I work with women, I want to know what **feeling stronger would actually change for you**.

Because that answer is much more useful than chasing someone else’s version of strong.

What would feeling stronger help you do?

Recovery is where your body gets a chance to catch up with everything you ask of it.

Training. Work. Stress. Family. Life.

A simple way to think about recovery:

1. **Sleep**
Give your body time to actually repair.

2. **Hydrate**
Especially if you sweat a lot or are training regularly.

3. **Refuel**
Protein, carbs, and enough food to support what you are asking your body to do.

4. **Move gently**
Walking, mobility, stretching, or anything that helps you feel better instead of more depleted.

5. **Rest when you need it**
Not every day needs to be a push day.

Recovery is not what you do after the work is done.

It is part of the work.

Not sure what recovery should look like for you? That’s something I can help you figure out. Reach out and we can talk through what your body needs right now.

I am a big believer that you do not need to flip your whole life upside down to feel better.

Most of the time, we just need to figure out what actually makes sense for you right now.

Maybe it is adding a little more strength.
Maybe it is eating enough.
Maybe it is getting more consistent with movement.
Maybe it is giving recovery the same attention you give your workouts.

This is the kind of work I love doing with women.

We look at the whole picture, find the small things that are actually doable, and build from there.

No all-or-nothing plan. No trying to become a different person overnight.

Just small steps that fit your body, your life, and where you are right now.

Massage is part of the bigger picture.

Sometimes you need to recover before you can move better. Sometimes moving better helps you thrive. It all connects.

At The Wellness Path, massage and recovery sessions are about helping your body settle, release tension, and feel a little more like yours again.

Different tools. Same goal.

That pretty much sums up how I look at wellness.

Sometimes the answer is strength. Sometimes it’s mobility, yoga, stretching or simply moving more.

Sometimes you need massage and recovery.

Sometimes you need someone to help you figure out which one you actually need instead of just throwing more at your body.

I don’t believe there’s one “right” way to take care of yourself.

The goal is to help you feel stronger, move better and feel more at home in your body.

Recover. Move. Thrive.
