Here’s a little ranch life from April Hill Ranch paired with practical nutrition from C.R. Enterprise Nutrition! 🥚🌿

You probably know what’s inside a chicken egg. But what about a duck egg? Or a turkey egg?

From the ranch to the kitchen, each variety brings something a little different to the table!

🐓 CHICKEN EGGS: A great source of protein and choline, an essential nutrient that supports brain health, memory, and nervous system function.

🦆 DUCK EGGS: Known for their larger, richer yolks! They contain more fat and are especially rich in vitamin B12, which helps support healthy red blood cells and nerve function.

🦃 TURKEY EGGS: Less common in the kitchen, but nutritionally impressive! They provide iron, which helps transport oxygen throughout the body, and zinc, which supports immune health.

Here’s the takeaway: Bigger doesn’t automatically mean healthier! Egg size influences the amount of protein, calories, and nutrients you’re getting, and each variety has something beneficial to offer.

Now we’re curious… have you ever tried a duck or turkey egg?

Just because it’s on the grocery store shelf doesn’t mean it deserves a spot in your cart! 🛒

Next time you’re grocery shopping, take a few extra seconds to flip that package over and actually READ the ingredients.

One of Carolyn’s biggest pieces of advice? If you can’t recognize what you’re reading, think twice before buying it.

While an unfamiliar ingredient name doesn’t automatically make something unhealthy, choosing foods with simple, recognizable ingredients can make it easier to understand what you’re putting into your body.

And remember, the front of the package is designed to catch your attention. The ingredient list is where you start learning what’s actually inside.

So, we’re curious: How often do you actually read ingredient labels before buying something? 🌿

When’s the last time you intentionally went outside for your health?

Not every healthy habit has to be complicated. Getting outside may seem simple, but it can support your body in more ways than you might realize.

Natural daylight helps regulate your circadian rhythm, your body’s internal clock that influences when you feel awake during the day and sleepy at night.

Time outdoors can also encourage more movement, give your eyes a break from constant screens + indoor lighting, and create a natural opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply + reset.

Sunlight also plays a role in vitamin D production, which is important for bone health, immune function + muscle function.

Of course, more sun isn’t always better, and protecting your skin during longer periods of exposure still matters. But making intentional time to get outside can be one of those simple habits that supports your overall health.

Sometimes wellness really does come back to the basics.

So, do yourself a favor today:
Get outside.
Take the walk.
Sit in the sunshine for a few minutes.
Breathe a little deeper. ☀️

I especially like the opening question because it makes the post feel less like a lecture and more like an invitation.

Your body is communicating with you all day long, but sometimes we just get so used to the signals that we stop paying attention to them.

Low energy that has become your “normal.”
Cravings that seem to hit at the same time every day.
Digestive changes after certain foods.
Waking up tired even after a full night of sleep.
Or simply feeling a little off without being able to explain why.

Carolyn’s approach looks at the whole picture because your energy, digestion, sleep, nutrition + everyday habits don’t exist separately from one another.

If you’ve been noticing changes in your body but haven’t been able to make sense of them, Carolyn can help you look at the bigger picture.

Reach out to schedule a consultation + start connecting the dots between what you’re feeling, what your body may be communicating, and the next steps that make sense for your whole body wellness.

Does “organic” automatically mean healthier? Not always. 👇🏼

One of the biggest things Carolyn encourages is looking beyond the label on the front of the package. Because seeing the word organic doesn’t necessarily tell you everything about how that food was grown, where it came from + what you’re actually getting.

And let’s be honest…none of us are heading out to test the soil something was grown in before putting throwing it in our grocery cart. 😅

So instead of feeling like everything you buy has to be organic, Carolyn recommends being a little more intentional about where it may matter most.

Buy local when you can. Know where your food is coming from when possible. And for things like coffee, berries + produce you’re eating without peeling, organic may be worth prioritizing.

The goal isn’t to make grocery shopping harder. It’s to help you understand what you’re buying so you can make informed choices without getting caught up in every label. 🫶🏼

Cozy, rainy weather like today usually has us reaching for the comfort foods. And while there’s absolutely room for those, it’s also a good reminder that nourishing your body doesn’t have to be complicated.

Whole foods bring a lot to the table like fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants + nutrients your body knows what to do with. Sometimes, supporting your health really does begin with simply putting more of the good stuff in front of you consistently.

It doesn’t mean building a perfect plate at every meal or cutting out everything you enjoy. It means learning what your body needs, choosing foods with purpose + creating habits you can actually maintain.

Comfort and nourishment can absolutely have a seat at the same table. 🍎🫐🌿

With Carolyn, you’re not just “another client.”

You’re not just another lab report to read through, another list of symptoms to check off, or another supplement to hand out.

Carolyn’s heart + dedication show up in the time she spends with you. She has a gift for making people feel seen and heard, slowing things down, breaking it all apart in a way that actually makes sense, and taking the time to answer every question you may have along the way.

She doesn’t want you leaving the table wondering what you’re supposed to do or why you’re doing it. She wants you to feel confident in what she’s coaching you toward and to understand what those next steps mean for your whole body health + wellness. 🫶🏼🥙🍏🥑🍋🌿

Last night was a good one. 🫶🌿

The Colonial Home was filled with questions, conversation, note-taking, a few “that makes so much sense” moments + people genuinely wanting to better understand their health and whole body wellness.

Carolyn shared practical nutrition insight from more than 30 years of experience, answered questions along the way, and kept the evening relaxed, approachable + easy to understand.

Health is a blessing we get to steward, and sometimes caring for ourselves starts simply by asking better questions, learning more, and understanding what our bodies may be trying to tell us.

Getting to have those conversations together at April Hill Ranch made the evening even more meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who came out, shared in the conversation + spent the evening with us. We’re grateful for every person who walked through the doors and made the night feel a little less like a seminar and a little more like neighbors learning alongside one another. 🫶🏼🥙🍏🥑🍋🌿
