Sunday’s Update:

Almost a whole week since my surgery and WHEW BOY am I in pain.

I am having serve pressure on my ear drums where I get pulsating, stabbing pain in my ear drums and directly in my new joint. I’m talking intense 9/10 pain that makes me wish I could scream but I can’t because of the whole banded shut thing.

The paralyzed places are still paralyzed and the numb places are still numb.

The good news is that I am getting better at changing out my bands.

The bad news is that I am starving 24/7 and all the things I am craving, I can’t have.

The good news is that I’ve lost 10lbs since surgery.

I admitted to Mom, Dad, and Robert that this is way harder then I thought it would be. They admitted that I am doing way better then they thought I would do. Which was really great to hear. They thought I would be stuck in bed moaning in pain and that’s definitely not the case.

But I severely underestimated how painful this surgery was going to be.

I hoping the next few days bring lower pain levels and better sleep.

My swelling is still pretty up there so hopefully once that starts to come down, my pain levels will come down with it.
