Hi, my name is Dr. Tina B. I’m a Naturopathic Doctor out of Chicago, IL. I help individuals struggling with chronic pain and gastrointestinal issues regain their health and well-being through holistic, naturopathic treatments.

Hi everyone! I’m in my final semester of clinical training for my Doctorate in Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine and am currently seeing patients as a supervised student clinician at Pacific College of Health and Science.

I’m offering acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui na, gua sha, and moxa for concerns such as pain, stress, digestive issues, sleep, mobility, and overall wellness. As many of you know, I currently run my own naturopathic clinic, with clinical interests in pain management and mild GI conditions, and I would truly appreciate your support as I complete this final stage of training.

If you’ve ever wanted to try acupuncture, this is a great opportunity to do so in a safe, professional setting at a deeply discounted rate. New patient visits are around $46, with discounts for seniors and military.

Of course not. Cause obesity is not about a lack of exercise. It’s about a lousy food supply. All the chemicals they allow in the food like products. The fact that over 80% of products on the grocery store shelves were created in a lab and it’s not real food. Obesity is not an illness it is a sign and symptom of a disordered body. It is hormones that are all out of whack. It is a population of youths that under more stress than your average adult because we’ve created a society built on scarcity. Plus, fitness test are already in most school PE curriculum…and the rates are obesity among the youth are still growing!

They really brought back the Presidential Fitness Test like we didn’t all suffer enough the first time.

Now it’s mile runs, push-ups, sit-ups, and flexibility—basically a public reminder of who peaked in elementary school.

Some people say it’ll fix childhood fitness, others remember the trauma of being last and hearing everyone else finish.

The goal is building stronger kids, but nobody’s explaining how they’re handling the kids who hate every second of it.

And now everyone’s watching to see if this actually helps… or just unlocks core memories nobody asked for.

National Physicians Day 🌿

This one feels deeply personal.

As I stand at the finish line of a 10-year journey in medicine, preparing to earn my second doctorate and bridge naturopathic medicine with acupuncture and herbal medicine, I’m reflecting on what physician leadership truly means.

For me, it has never been just about degrees.

It has been about service, mentorship, advocacy, and creating space for others to rise.

My year as a The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship taught me what it means to lead through service — using health education and advocacy to support underserved communities.

Serving as a mentor to Schweitzer fellows for the past two years reinforced how important it is to intentionally guide the next generation of healthcare leaders.

And even earlier in my journey, I had the honor of founding the Black Naturopathic Medical Student Association NUHS at my alma mater, National University of Health Sciences creating a space for representation, belonging, and leadership for Black students in naturopathic medicine.

That is what unity in healthcare looks like:
✨ multiple disciplines learning from one another
✨ mentorship strengthening leadership pipelines
✨ representation creating possibility
✨ physicians committed to lifting as they climb

The future of medicine is not one path.
It is collaboration, service, and the courage to create the spaces we once needed.

Today I celebrate not only how far I’ve come, but the responsibility to continue shaping the future of healthcare.

And I’m just getting started. 🌿

National Physicians Week 2026

This year’s theme: Unity in Healthcare

Healthcare was never meant to be practiced in silos.

The future of medicine depends on collaboration across disciplines — physicians, naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, nurses, therapists, and allied health professionals working together with a shared goal:

Better patient outcomes.

When we come together, we don’t just expand treatment options — we strengthen leadership, deepen understanding, and create space for more innovative, patient-centered care.

Unity in healthcare also means investing in the next generation.

Mentorship matters.
Representation matters.
Guidance matters.

As someone who has spent over a decade in medical education and is preparing to step fully into practice, I understand firsthand the importance of being poured into — and the responsibility of pouring into others.

Strong physician leadership pipelines don’t happen by chance.

They are built through collaboration, mentorship, and a commitment to lifting others as we grow.

This week, we recognize not only the physicians leading today — but the communities shaping the physicians of tomorrow.

Let’s continue to build, guide, and support — together. 🌿
