Preparedness creates safer interactions. 💙

In emergency situations, lights, sirens, and loud crowds can easily cause sensory overload. Autism Support of Alabama is proud to equip local first responders with our Autism Sensory Kits (A.S.K.)—portable backpacks filled with sensory tools, noise-reducing headphones, and communication aids designed to help de-escalate stressful calls and build trust in our community.

Meet Khari Reeves! 🎮 💚

Khari is 6 years old and was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age 3. He is nonverbal and is currently in kindergarten, where he's thriving! Khari is smart, observant, and outgoing — he lives for playing outside and loves anything to do with monster trucks. He also loves school and lights up any room he's in.

An amazing little boy all around — thank you for sharing Khari with us! So proud to feature him as one of our Faces of Autism this week. 💚

Evie is 7 years old and was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at just 2 years old. She has such a beautiful heart for worship and loves nothing more than praising God in church. Evie is also a cheerleader, and she's recently started riding with Special Equestrians — what an exciting new adventure!

Need inspiration for your application? Here’s a look at how your organization can utilize the Adult Autism Program Enhancement Grant to directly benefit adults with ASD (ages 18+) across Alabama.

We are awarding 5 grants of $3,800—one in each Regional Autism Network (R.A.N.) service area—to support program improvements, facility updates, and life-changing resources.
