Just to let everyone know due to the impending rain tomorrow I don’t think anyone will be there to represent the team this year. We don’t want anyone getting sick and as I mentioned previously, we were going to be unable to actually walk anyway. We are still collecting donations and promise that we will be back for next year’s walk! Thank you all for your support!!!

Hello all! This year we are collecting donations for our team LUKE'S skyWALKERS. However, the Lydic's will not be able to physically participate in the walk itself. As most of you know we lost Lucas' grandmother Betty Lou earlier this year. She was one of our biggest supporters and extremely dedicated to her faith. Her church is honoring her memory by dedicating their library in her name that same morning. Although both events are extremely important to us, we know that Lucas' walk will continue for years to come but this dedication will only happen once. Our good friends and fellow T1D parents, Chris & Tara Mote will be representing our team in honor of their son Brayden. I will still be at the walk during registration to collect donations and take photos but once the walk begins, I have to leave. Please don't let this hinder anyone from participating or making a donation as we still whole-heartedly support this cause and should all be back in action next year! Registration begins at 8am, 9:15 is Opening ceremonies and the walk begins at 9:30.... Please try to be there no later than 9 so we can take a team photo! Thanks so much! See you there!

Apparently this year's JDRF walk is on 10/28. It is never usually that late in the month so I apologize for any confusion. Anyone who is joining us please double check your calendar and make sure you have the proper date. (In my defense for the past 12 years it has ALWAYS been the 3rd Sunday of the month...not sure why the change this year)

Hey Team LUKE'S skyWALKERS! This walk is this weekend!!! Because this is a new venue I wasn't sure where to have everyone meet so to make it easy I am telling everyone to meet at the stage. It might be a little crowded but at least everyone will know where to find it...follow the noise! LOL. I have just a few XL shirts if anyone needs one, I apologize I don't have any other sizes. The walk starts at 9 or 9:30 so I plan on getting there by 8:30. Look for the blue shirts and I hope to see you all there!!!
