The Bloomington-Normal (Dharma Wind) Zen Group will not be meeting this Sunday, 8/31, due to group facilitators being out of town.

We will resume our regular 9 AM zazen on Sunday 9/7.

Hello, friends.

Due to our group's current facilitators being out of town this upcoming weekend, we are cancelling our Sunday morning zazen for July 11.

Our group will resume meeting for zazen on the 18th.

Hello Everyone,

This morning the group in attendance decided, in order to do our tiny part in not contributing to the possible spread of viruses, we are going to cancel all upcoming Bloomington-Normal (Dharma Wind) Zen Group meetings through at least Sunday, April 5th.

The cancellations include our Sunday morning zazen and service and our Thursday evening open meditation time.

We may resume meeting Thursday, April 9, or Sunday, April 12, depending on how things progress with the Coronavirus. We will send an update in a couple of weeks.

We hope everyone is able to diligently continue their practices.

Please let us know if you or someone you know is need of assistance during this time.

Bloomington-Normal (Dharma Wind) Zen Group meets every Sunday morning from 9 to 10 for and service at . Beginning this week we now also meet for meditation every Thursday evening at 8 PM. All is free and open to everyone, Buddhists and non-Buddhists, beginners and beginners alike!

Hello Everyone,

This is a friendly reminder that our group's primary teacher, Zuiko Redding, will be in Bloomington-Normal May 5 and 6 to conduct a precepts ceremony, sit with our group, and to meet privately with anyone who would like to set up a meeting.

If you would like to meet privately with Zuiko, she will be available during the day on Friday, May 5. Please contact Zuiko directly at [email protected] to set up a time and location for a meeting with her.

The precepts ceremony will take place on Saturday morning, May 6. We will begin zazen at 9 AM, that will be followed by a short service, and then the precepts ceremony will begin after the service. This will not be at our new regular meeting location, rather we will conduct this ceremony at the home of Jamie, Avi, and Stefen: 809 N Madison St., Bloomington. If you haven't already, please RSVP if you are planning to attend this ceremony so that we have an idea of how may people to prepare for.

Also, as per our new usual, we will meet for zazen and service this Sunday morning from 9 to 10 at Palms Together Yoga, 1717 RT Dunn Drive in Bloomington (Palms Together Yoga has two locations, be sure to come to the studio in south Bloomington). Since we have limited time we will begin zazen at 9 AM sharp.
