I'm reading a textbook on functional medicine nephrology. It talks about, among other interesting facts, how PPI's can cause acute interstitial nephritis and PPI induced neuropathy. I think about all the babies being placed on PPI's and the people self-treating with OTC PPI's. How many people are unknowingly causing their kidneys to decline just through this one drug alone?
