Tiny Terrier Treats
Yorkshire Terriers are small and have different nutritional needs, requiring nutrient-dense, small-kibble-sized food. Here's a nutritious meal to keep your Yorkshire Terrier puppy healthy and happy!
Ingredients:
Lean Pork - 100g (3.5 oz): Cooked, finely chopped, high in thiamine.
Sweet Peas - 50g (1.75 oz): Cooked, mashed, provides vitamins and minerals.
Quinoa - 50g (1.75 oz): Cooked, protein-rich grain.
Carrots - 30g (1 oz): Steamed, mashed, provides vitamins and fiber.
Blueberries - 30g (1 oz): Fresh or cooked, antioxidants and vitamins.
Fish Oil - 2mL (0.4 tsp): Essential fatty acids for cognitive development.
Vitamin and Mineral Supplement - For small breed puppies, per vet’s guidance.
Instructions:
Cook all ingredients (pork, sweet peas, quinoa, carrots, blueberries).
Mix in a bowl. Add fish oil and vitamin supplements.
Cool before serving.
Storage:
Fridge: Up to 3 days.
Freezer: Up to 1 month (thaw before serving).
Serving Guide:
8-12 weeks: 1/8 to 1/4 cup per meal, 4 times a day (1/2 to 1 cup/day).
3-6 months: 1/4 to 1/3 cup per meal, 3 times a day (3/4 to 1 cup/day).
6-12 months: 1/3 to 1/2 cup per meal, 2 times a day (2/3 to 1 cup/day).
