We are still inside the passage of Lion’s Gate. And today, under the Leo New Moon and total solar eclipse, I feel I am being asked to integrate and seed. What are you feeling?
The eclipse path moves across Greenland and the North Atlantic, over vast fields of ice and pristine water. When I realized this, I felt a clear invitation to offer a water blessing.
The waters moving through our own bodies are part of the same living world as the oceans, rivers, rain, ice, and ancient waters held within the Earth. Therefore we hold the same light, ancient wisdom, and wonder as do her waters.
“I am the One hidden within radiant waters,” is written in the Gnostic Gospels.
Today we might intentionally connect to the remembering of our light within and the light held within all water.
So sometime today, should you be called, I invite you to sit with water and do a blessing.
A bowl. A glass. A river. A lake. The ocean. Whatever is available to you.
Place your hands near or on the water and become quiet. Breathe in and out of your heart. Generate the consciousness of love. Feel it moving into the waters.
Feel the water in your own body and the waters of the Earth.
And then listen.
You might offer gratitude for the waters and ice of Greenland, for the oceans beneath the eclipse path, for the waters that nourish every living being. The waters of your body. The wisdom that comes to you in the waters when we pay attention.
Then, if it feels right, offer a seed into the field.
It could be a prayer. It could be a quality you wish to participate in bringing forward.
Courage.
Compassion.
Truth.
Right relationship.
Love.
You do not need to send anything at the Earth.
This is a new moon in Leo which guides us to our authenticity, simply meet the water and let your prayer arise from relationship rather than effort.
If you are working with a bowl or glass, you might later pour the water onto the Earth, offer it to a plant, or drink it slowly and allow the blessing to move through your own body. Imagine or feel your blessing moving into all of the waters of all times.
And there is something about this eclipse that feels like planting into darkness. A New Moon seed in the voided light. So perhaps today is not about rushing to understand everything that has shifted, whether or not you’ve participated in Lion’s Gate actively, there is so much change happening right now perhaps it is enough to rest. And to listen.
To soothe and tend the body.
To bless the water.
To offer something beautiful into the dark.
And to remember:
We are more than this form.
And through this form, we are able to participate.
May what we seed today move in service to the living world.
Love,
RiverStar
