We stood in the field together with locked, soft eyes and this is what I heard.

The summer solstice is an invitation to return.

To the land.
To the body.
To the seasons.
To the light and power we already are.

I heard yesterday the term “nature deficit disorder. That sounds like disconnection from the cycles and rhythms that remind us we belong. From self and home.

This half-day retreat with horses and land is a space to reconnect with nature, honor what has been growing within us, and receive the nourishment of the season.

Through breath, gentle movement, heart-centered practice, solstice ritual, cacao, nourishment, and time with the herd, we will explore freedom as an embodied and relational experience.

Not power over.
Power with.

With the body.
With the horses.
With the land.
With the living field.

We will enter the horses’ space as respectful guests, honoring consent, sovereignty, reciprocity, and relationship.

Sitting watching a loon swimming up and down the lakeshore about five feet out. Amazing how long they can hold their breath and fun to see where he will pop up.

Several times he emerges in front of me and turns - we meet eye to eye.

He disappears for a bit. Suddenly he rises out of the water fish in mouth. He tosses it up in the air, opens up, and down it goes.

He rises up out of the water flapping his wings perhaps joyfully dancing, perhaps triumphantly as if to say, “I am magnificent.”

You most certainly are, I say back as I stand and flap my wings too.

Some spaces change you quietly.
Others change you all at once.

At our last Freedom Retreat, one participant shared:

“I’m bringing the joy, and leaving shame.”

That moment stayed with me.

This work is not about performance.
It’s about coherence. Presence. Truth.
About softening enough to hear yourself again.

Through embodiment practices, breathwork, horses, land connection, nervous system support, ritual, and community, we create space for what has been held in the body to begin moving again.

And something remarkable happens when people feel safe enough to be witnessed.

They remember who they are.

An excerpt from a heart coherence and gratitude meditation from the last horse retreat. Bringing in the intelligence and energies of the heart and transmitting them to the herd and land before we meet them.

The first two steps of heart coherence are to center awareness in the heart and slow down the breathing.

This starts at the third. Give it a try outside and give yourself and Mother Earth a little love this am!!!

Two horse + land offerings!!!

I’m so excited to now be offering individual healing sessions on the land with the horses!!

These are not riding sessions or horse-handling experiences. They are ceremonial healing sessions held in relationship with the land, the herd, and the living field of nature.

The horses are never asked to perform. They are met as sovereign beings, and any connection that arises is based on consent, presence, coherence, and the intelligence of the moment.
