𝗬𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘇𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱.

She wasn’t “falling off.” She was exhausted.

For years, she did what the fitness industry told her to do. Every program and every coach said…

• eat less
• do more cardio
• push harder
• You must not be doing enough

And for a while, it worked. Until it didn’t.

Can I tell you something that took me years to figure out?

"Moving on" and "moving forward" are not the same thing.

After I lost Mitch, people told me to move on. They meant well. But what they were really asking me to do was leave him behind.... to tuck the loss away somewhere tidy and return to normal.

I couldn't do it. I didn't want to. And it turns out.... I was right not to.

I spent years trying to get smaller.

Smaller waist.
Smaller number on the scale.
Smaller appetite.
Smaller version of myself.

What I didn’t realize was that every time I focused on becoming smaller, I was also becoming weaker.

Somewhere along the way, I stopped chasing skinny and started chasing strength.

Strength to hike mountains.
Strength to carry my backpack through foreign countries.
Strength to navigate grief.
Strength to keep showing up for the people I love.
Strength to stand in the middle of a beautiful Croatian bay at 53 years old and feel completely at home in my own skin.

Not because my body is perfect.

Because I finally learned to respect it.

That didn’t happen through starvation diets, detox teas, endless cardio, or punishing myself for every meal.

It happened when I started fueling my body.
Lifting heavy.
Walking often.
Sleeping more.
Managing stress.
Being patient enough to let the process work.

Most women don’t need another diet.

They need a foundation.

A way of eating they can sustain.

A community that reminds them they are capable of more than they think.

53 looks a lot different than they told us it would.

For years, women have been sold the idea that aging means slowing down, shrinking, becoming less.

Less strong.
Less vibrant.
Less adventurous.
Less visible.

I don’t accept it.
This photo was taken yesterday on our Croatia adventure.

Not 30 years ago.
Not before kids.
Not before grief.
Not before menopause.
Not before life handed me some really hard things.

At 53.
And here are a few things life has taught me...

Feeling good in your own skin has very little to do with perfection.

It’s not about being the smallest woman in the room.
It’s about waking up with energy. Feeling strong in your body. Trusting yourself. Having confidence. Looking in the mirror and liking the woman staring back at you.

It’s about creating a life where your health supports you instead of limits you.

That doesn’t happen by accident.

It comes from consistently showing up.

Eating enough protein.
Building muscle.
Moving your body.
Managing stress.
Taking care of your health before you’re forced to.

The women I coach aren’t trying to become 25 again.
They’re trying to become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves right now.

That’s exactly why I created Metabolic Strong.

Not another diet.
Not another cleanse.
Not another program promising results without effort.
A foundation.
