As part of HCA Healthcare, caring like family means showing up for our neighbors — inside our hospitals and throughout the communities we call home.
During National Volunteer Month, TriStar Health colleagues brought that commitment to life by collecting more than 19,000 diapers for babies and families across Middle Tennessee, helping provide an everyday essential that many new and expecting families struggle to afford.
The diaper drive was part of HCA Healthcare’s We Show Up for Our Communities initiative and was held in collaboration with United Way of Greater Nashville. The effort supports the HCA Healthcare Foundation’s United for Healthy Starts partnership, and donated diapers will be distributed to local nonprofit organizations serving families across the region.
“Diapers are one of the most basic needs for new and expectant parents, yet they can be a significant financial burden for families,” said Mitch Edgeworth, president of HCA Healthcare TriStar Division. “We are grateful to our colleagues across TriStar Health and HCA Healthcare who showed up for a worthy cause.”
