We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for our Round Table Talk with the Youth Health Advisory Council. Thank you for taking the time to truly listen to our young people as they shared their concerns, ideas, and experiences about issues impacting both our city and their school.

A special thank you to Health Commissioner Wadezah McCullough, City Council Member Jeffery Charnel, Mayor Moises Rodrigues, High School Principal Kevin McCaskill, School Committee Member Stephen Pina, City Councilor Phil Griffin, School Committee Member Claudio Gomes, CEO of Brockton Neighborhood Health Center Maria Celli, and CEO of HCP Marline Amedee for showing up, engaging in meaningful conversation, and supporting youth voice and leadership.

Our youth deserve to be heard, valued, and included in conversations that directly affect their lives and futures. Your willingness to come to the table, listen, and collaborate shows the importance of community partnerships and creating positive change together.

Thank you for helping empower the next generation of leaders. The conversation does not stop here — this is just the beginning. Associação Caboverdiana De Brockton/Capeverdean Association of Brockton Haitian Community Partners Brockton Neighborhood Health Center Brockton High School

Our Youth Health Advisory Council (YHAC) members were in action today hosting a fun and educational Germ Awareness Event between the Yellow and Red Cafeterias! 🦠✨

Students stopped by to learn all about germs—how they spread and how to protect themselves and others. We had interactive stations with educational information, a hands-on germ activity using paper and soap, and a trivia game that got everyone thinking about which everyday items carry the most germs!

To keep the energy going, participants had the chance to win prizes like hand sanitizers, lotions, and antibacterial wipes—helping promote healthy habits while having fun.

Missed us today? Don’t worry! Catch us tomorrow between the Green and Azure Cafeterias for Part 2 of our Germ Awareness Event. You won’t want to miss it!

Our Youth Health Advisory Council (YHAC) members truly showed up and showed out at the Atrius Foundation Youth Health Summit! 🌟

From behind the scenes to center stage, our youth played powerful roles in making this event a success. Some of our members were part of the planning process, helping shape a meaningful and impactful summit. Others stepped into the spotlight as panelists, sharing their voices, experiences, and perspectives on important health topics. Also the role of MCs, confidently leading the event and keeping the energy strong throughout.

This is what youth leadership looks like—engaged, empowered, and making real change in their communities. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them for representing YHAC with professionalism, passion, and purpose. 👏

The future of healthcare and community leadership is bright! đź’™

Our Career Step students are putting their skills into action! 🩺💪

Recently, they’ve been learning and practicing different methods of blood pressure measurement, including regular blood pressure readings, palpatory blood pressure, and orthostatic blood pressures. Through hands-on experience, they’re building the confidence and accuracy needed for real clinical settings.

From understanding the importance of proper technique to recognizing how position changes can impact readings, our students are gaining valuable knowledge that will support them in their future healthcare careers.

We’re proud to see their growth and dedication as they continue developing essential patient care skills!
