Have you had breast imaging elsewhere?
One of the most valuable tools a radiologist has isn’t just today’s mammogram—it’s your prior images.
If you’ve had a mammogram, breast ultrasound, or breast MRI at another facility, let your breast center know where it was performed. They can often request those prior images for comparison.
Comparing prior breast imaging helps the radiologist:
✔️ Identify what’s been stable over time.
✔️ Recognize new changes more accurately.
✔️ Sometimes reduce unnecessary callbacks or additional testing.
A little preparation can make a big difference. Keeping track of where you’ve had breast imaging helps ensure your care team has the most complete picture of your breast health.
