I had an amazing time at the Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) Black Maternal Health Conference and Training InstituteTM (BMHC24)! This event is the premiere gathering for Black women, clinicians, professionals, advocates, and stakeholders working to improve maternal health using birth justice, reproductive justice, and human rights frameworks. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and advocate for better maternal health outcomes for Black mamas. Huge thanks to for putting me in environments to learn and grow within the birth work community. It’s imperative that we support one another and build solutions for ourselves, our communities, our nation, and our race.✊🏾Shout out to the Birth Justice Institute and all the hard work we are doing as a collective. 🖤🤰🏾🙌🏾
