I had a fantastic time at the Community Perinatal Health Associate Graduation 2026, organized by Healthy Beginnings and built by Brick. It was inspiring to support and celebrate the achievements of the members from the Birth Justice Institute and the Birth Equity Taskforce. Their dedication to advancing perinatal health and equity is truly commendable, and I feel honored to have been part of such a meaningful event!

Feeling incredibly grateful to be in a space filled with community and compassion! 🫶🏾After taking time to reset and seeking purpose-driven work, I stepped into birthwork and maternal health. I’m honored to be a speaker at the 3rd Annual Women’s Bodies & Black Maternal Health event. The work I do every day aligns with my passion for bringing love and joy into our community through education and advocacy. I’m so thankful to be thought of for this opportunity and excited for my first speaking engagement of many to come! Let’s uplift each other and continue the conversation. 💪🏾✨

I had an amazing time at the Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) Black Maternal Health Conference and Training InstituteTM (BMHC24)! This event is the premiere gathering for Black women, clinicians, professionals, advocates, and stakeholders working to improve maternal health using birth justice, reproductive justice, and human rights frameworks. Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and advocate for better maternal health outcomes for Black mamas. Huge thanks to for putting me in environments to learn and grow within the birth work community. It’s imperative that we support one another and build solutions for ourselves, our communities, our nation, and our race.✊🏾Shout out to the Birth Justice Institute and all the hard work we are doing as a collective. 🖤🤰🏾🙌🏾

I had the opportunity to orchestrate the Brooklyn Birth Equity Expo in partnership with my job Ancient Song. I am so thankful for the opportunity to bring people together to figure out solutions to the issues that are plaguing our community. I am thankful for Chanel and the Ancient song team for making all of the ideas a reality.

I want to thank all of the panelist that participated in the panels. All of the vendors, institutions and organizations that tabled the event . The honorees that have dedicated thier time , resources , and hearts to the work that needs to be done in birth Justice.

My chapter Psi lambda Omega of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. for continuing to uphold the legacy of service to all mankind. By keeping the conversation around birth equity and shedding light to the black maternal health crisis. Education is the key to change and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve. Black maternal Health week was a Successs!!
