Moore creates work in which a fascination with the clarity of content and an uncompromising attitude towards minimal aesthetics can be found. The imagery implies narrative, but is never constituted. His practice provides a useful set of allegorical tools for maneuvering in the world of drawing: these meticulously planned works resound and resonate with images culled from a possible fantastic realm
. By choosing mainly formal solutions, he makes work that deals with the documentation of events and the question of how they can be experienced. His works are based on associations which open a unique poetic vein. With a subtle approach, he tries to develop forms that do not follow logical use of territory or narrative, but are based only on subjective associations, which incite the viewer to make new personal associations. His works are an investigation into representations that can only be realized in drawing. The work is expressive without relying on standard ideas of storytelling and continually avoids metaphor.
