Painful periods are incredibly common. So common, in fact, that many of us grow up assuming cramps, pain, and needing to cancel plans for a few days every month are simply part of having a period.
But your period can also be information.
In Chinese Medicine, we pay attention to how you bleed: the quality of the blood, where you feel pain, when the pain begins, and what makes it better or worse.
These details can offer clues about what may be happening beneath the surface.
Your body isn’t something to fight against. Learning to understand what it’s communicating can change the way you experience your cycle.
