BONUS PROTECTION: The shingles vaccine has been linked to a 24% lower risk of dementia in older adults over a four-year period.

Brown University researchers analyzed health records of more than 500,000 Medicare recipients aged 66 and older and found those who received at least one dose of Shingrix saw a significant reduction in cognitive decline compared to unvaccinated individuals.

A clinical neurologist says this is the third or fourth study to reach the same conclusion — calling the finding "icing on the cake" atop a growing body of evidence.

Some chains already have signs, phone recordings, buttons, crazy-long forced skits when/if they answer the phones 🤷‍♂️, etc for you to get your flu shot now. 👎

It’s July. Corporate starts this now because they know most people only get one flu shot per year, and if they advertise earliest they can convince you to get it with them before anywhere else, even when it’s not in your best interest 👎

Unless your provider says otherwise, the best time to get your flu shot is in LATE SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER ….and the best place to get it is Golden Isles Pharmacy 😉
