Instead of thinking of long-term care as an insurance policy, think of it as retirement income protection.

None of us can predict if we'll need care, and if we do need it, we can't predict how long we'll need it, either. With long-term care protection, if a care need does arise, it can help to make the income you've worked to build in retirement work the way it was designed to.

🙏 And just like that, AEP is here!

To say I’m nervous would be an understatement! Today marks the start of Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), and this will be my 8th or 9th AEP as an insurance agent.

For those who may not know, this is one of the busiest and most important times of the year for Medicare agents. A huge portion of our annual income is earned during this season, so there’s a lot riding on these next several weeks!

I’m praying for a great AEP, not just for my business, but for what it could mean for Greyson and me. ❤️ One of my biggest goals is to find us a home next year, and a successful enrollment season would help put us in a better position to make that dream a reality. 🏡

The toughest part of being a Medicare agent isn’t losing a member to another agent or another company. It’s losing them because they’ve been called home to the Lord. ❤️

I received word today that a sweet Paw Paw passed away at the end of July. Hearing news like that hits differently.

As an insurance agent, I’ve had the privilege of helping families with life insurance and delivering a death benefit check. While that is never an easy moment, there’s something different about Medicare.

With Medicare, I often see my clients several times throughout the year. I get to know them, hear about their families, their health, their lives, and sometimes their struggles. They become more than just a name or a policy number. They become people I genuinely care about.

So when one of those clients passes away, it hurts.

This is one of the parts of being a local Medicare agent that people may not always see. Yes, I help people find the right coverage, save money, understand their benefits, and navigate Medicare. But along the way, relationships are built.

Today, I’m thankful I had the opportunity to know this sweet Paw Paw and to serve him.

My prayers are with his family and loved ones. May he rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus. 🙏❤️
