Social media algorithms are designed to keep you looking, watching, and scrolling. Unfortunately, this is often achieved by loading your feed up with negative, anxiety producing content. Images of the natural world—flowers, trees, wildlife—reduces cortisol levels (the stress & anxiety hormone) while still giving you the dopamine hit your social-media brain craves. More nature = more rest, better sleep, and a happier you. Follow me or subscribe for more.
(And all the images in this video were taken in my garden, all but one are day lilies—the other is a dahlia. While images of nature is good, physically being immersed in it, is GREAT. The positive effects of nature on your mind, body, and soul cannot be matched. And, if you’d like to learn more about the flowers in the video, visit daylilies.org)
