Train your breath like you train your muscles
Most of us default to shallow, upper-chest breathing. This simple rice bag drill uses gentle resistance to help your main breathing muscles work a little harder and become more resilient and efficient over time.
In this video, I’m using a 5 lb rice bag on the upper belly to:
• Give clear feedback so you can feel your diaphragm and lower ribs move
• Guide you into 3-part breathing (belly → ribs → chest)
• Add mild load, like a mini strength session for your breathing muscles
Practice:
5 minutes a day - for 1 month - move slowly, no forcing
Stop if you feel strain, dizziness, or unusual shortness of breath, and skip the weight if you have heart or lung conditions or if your body says “no”.
Treat this as a 1-month experiment in breathing more efficiently, slowly, and consciously from the inside out.
