This client came to me struggling with severe emetophobia, restricting her eating and even drinking water at times. When we first met, it was hard for her to leave the house or even get out of the car. And now, just weeks later, she has come so far and it truly shows 💪
She understands that any unhelpful voice that still pops up is something she knows how to work through. She knows how to quiet it, reduce it, and trust that in time it will fade. She understands how her mind works, what to do when fears are created, and that is the real key. This journey is not about perfection. It is not about being 100 percent cured overnight. Recovery looks different for everyone, and that is okay.
Emetophobia is a complex and deeply debilitating phobia. It takes time, effort, and real intention to manage your thinking. But mental health in general is about learning to guide your mind daily and staying on track with the tools you build.
I am so incredibly proud of her 🥰 and beyond grateful to walk alongside her on this journey. She is currently in her BLIP recovery program, journaling, applying the work, and we will be meeting again very soon. Truly so well done 💛
