You deserve an absolutely reciprocal relationship. Reciprocity is all about give and take between one another. It's two people coming together as equals. If a relationship is feeling one-sided like you're doing all the giving and someone else is doing all the taking it's time to reevaluate things. Are you giving of your own volition? If it is draining you, it is perfectly okay to take a step back. Sometimes in a relationship with another we tend to be people pleasers and want to give, and care for them. But there comes a point where you may realize that you are doing this to your own detriment. Now is the time to ponder if you are giving as much to the relationship as you are getting in return.
Remember that a happy healthy relationship requires equal give and take from both partners.
