My body likes pain to feel alive. But I avoid it at all costs.
Therefor, am I not alive if I am comfortable?
Can I just find unconditional happiness without feeling like it’s settling?
Is this designed by nature or nurture that our default tendency is oftentimes fear, pain, and constant want?
What does society do to us?
What do we do to ourselves unknowingly?
We know happiness is not found externally and must come from within. It’s a popular quote we find true. It’s the simplest concept yet the most difficult. It’s a battle sometimes daily just to be happy.
Chasing society’s ideals most our lives without the guarantee of it bringing you peace is blind fire and hoping you hit the target. The irony of life.
We may accomplish high positions, salaries, statuses, and the like, but the hardest thing to consistently accomplish is also the most childhood fundamental, happiness.
It’s the circle of life to chase adult aspirations only to discover in the end it’s really only adult accomplishments equipped with fortunate childhood lessons and wisdom: Care. Share. Don’t do to others what you don’t want done unto you. Morals. Friends. Family. Traditions. Quality time. Playing. Being happy for the simplest reasons. Love.
I can create some great things from pain. But I do not wish to live in pain.
Therefor, do I avoid creating?
Is the purpose of creation to share with others? Is this the virtue or lesson we seek in every personal misfortune; to share with others in hopes of being able to guide those in similar situations or with identical fears?
Must we suffer temporarily for personal growth and also to guide those who come after us?
If pain is needed to grow, I have 3 options: physical, emotional, or psychological. It’s pretty easy to take physical exertion rather than mental or emotional exhaustion any day.
I believe there is a connection with the three. Physical training creates eustress rather than distress. The body, the mind, and emotions will feel better. Even on a bad day, if you have a good workout, the day is a little better.
