When I share how much I love meditation with people, they often say something like “I tried meditation, but I’m not good at it. My mind is too busy.” And then I laugh and say me too!
But that’s just it, we humans have busy minds. The point of meditation is not to clear the mind but to observe, make friends with, and maybe even laugh at the ridiculousness of the millions of thoughts you have each day. When you practice mediation daily—even for just a few minutes—you start to get used to observing your thoughts instead of getting sucked down the rabbit hole with them.
Of course, it’s a process, but each day when I wake and get I onto my meditation cushion, I deepen my relationship to my true self. THAT’S what meditation is all about!
Join me every Wednesday at 7 pm at for Kundalini yoga. We move and breathe to get the energy flowing, chakras open, and magnetic field attuned so we can meditate and have an experience of ourselves. It’s accessible to everyone, and most of all, exactly what we need in this chaotic world right now! In the last 15 - 20 minutes of the 75-minute class we bask in a soundbath so you can go home and get ready for a restful sleep. Let me know if you have questions or want to learn more.
