Nikki Dugas - Red Tent Keeper 🩸🌺🌹

Nikki is a mama of 3, a wife, a pursuer of spirit, and an entrepreneur. She has a strong interest in herbs, natural healing and shamanic studies.

Nikki is an enthusiast & optimist who tries not to judge, but instead to believe in the path of every human spirit. After her own journey in naturally healing an autoimmune condition, she was opened up to the largely unknown ability of the earth and our bodies to heal themselves. This led Nikki to pursue shamanism, herbalism, and earth-based spiritual practices.

Nikki loves to research energy medicine, ancient texts, and esoteric mystery-school beliefs. Supporting and holding strong relationships with women is something she has always done. She loves circling with women and feeling that deep inside we are all the Mother, constantly creating, cultivating, and holding our creations to their fullest potentials.

🩸 The Red Tent, also known as a moonlodge, is where women gather apart from the day-to-day chores of the community to share and receive wisdom. In offering this space, we do not necessarily seek to recreate the traditions of other times/cultures, rather we seek to create space within our present reality to honor the sanctity of womon’s experience of menarche, menstruation, and menopause. All women, no matter where on their menstrual or life cycle are welcome!

Greetings women,

Blessed Full Moon, goddesses! 🌝

I just love the full moon this time of year, when we can see the plants growing so quickly. Everything is lush and green, flowers are blooming, and the evergreens are offering their delicious and medicinal spring tips. Even when life feels too full, too hard, or simply too much, the forest has a way of healing us.

Take some time to visit a local hiking trail. Take off your shoes and walk barefoot on the earth. Breathe in the sweetness of the forest, admire the flowers, gather a few edible or medicinal plants if you feel called, and give thanks.

With the evergreens showing off their spring abundance, I wanted to leave you with a delicious and medicinal recipe. Spruce tips are rich in vitamin C, supportive for the lungs, and full of vibrant chlorophyll.



🌲 Spruce Tip Honey Shrub Recipe

2 cups spruce tips, lightly crushed
2 cups honey
2 cups apple cider vinegar
Place everything into a jar and stir well. Let sit for 6 weeks, then strain and enjoy.

I love adding 1–2 tablespoons to sparkling water for a refreshing summer mocktail. Bonus points for a beautiful glass and a little ice.

Accepting applications for our Work Exchange Sisterhood! ✨

The Red Earth Work Exchange Sisterhood program offers work exchange positions with a commitment of 10 hours of service, and the offer of a reduced ticket price for a work exchange woman. It is a beautiful way to contribute to raising this gathering up!

Responsibilities for the work exchange women include everything from setup or breakdown or packing and driving items to/from the gathering to assisting with main events for The Womb Room, Red Tent, Faery Garden, Girls Grove, Wellness Tent, Kitchen, Sacred Gateway, helping with parking or registration, grounds maintenance and setup, and teacher coordination, as well as many other tasks to help the gathering run smoothly.

We’re so grateful for all of the women who help support this incredible woman’s herbal gathering! 🌿
