As a nurse practitioner in primary care for 25 years I regularly did health and wellness counseling. However I had about 10 minutes to do it in! I crammed in as much as I could in that short time but only so much can be absorbed by the brain at one time. I wish I had a program like Refresh to refer people to before I retired. I just completed a semester of Refresh and had 4 months to learn and absorb the essential information everyone should know about diet, exercise and lifestyle habits that promote wellness. In this program I learned how to identify foods that work the best for me, things to be avoided ( personal to me and in general), re- learned which macronutrients I need and how much of each,I began a strength training practice, and much more. is an amazing coach, trainer, teacher and cheerleader And you have a fabulous team to cheer you on as you make this journey.
