I've been so busy with my personal life that I didn't have a chance to give an update until now 😅 I've been working on this gradually as an interest in small moments when I can, but the hope is to have to have it ready for purchase by Oíche Shamhna (Samhain). Half of the proceeds will go towards community initiatives and human rights organizations.
There are many facets to my personal practice. Brigid is quite dear to me. So, of course, She made it clear she wants to sit at the forefront of this as an advocate. The irish hare holds deep symbolism for me as an image of vigilance, awareness, a creature of both the field and the forest; the concept of the Hedgerow is very much the same. In folktales, that's where we tend to find the healer. The cunning woman. The Witch. Provide whatever name you wish.

We joke in the magical/occult community a lot about liminality lol but it does hold meaning nonetheless. Herbalism and folk healing, in my perspective, lives in that threshold of being. It creates a bridge. So, this is my attempt at my own bridge. Will it resonate with all those roughly following an Irish-American practice? Likely no lol, but I am always open to discussion.

Either way I felt it was important for me to discuss the importance of cóir choibhnis or right relationship before all else. Not just with the land, but with the people we share it with, the people we descent from, and those of the very much living culture we are displaced from as the diaspora. I'll update more soon 😊 and I will give a shop update as well.
