🦶✨ CALLOUS REMOVAL — YOUR FEET DESERVE RELIEF!

That thick, hard, uncomfortable skin on your feet isn’t something you have to just live with. 👣

Calluses develop from repeated pressure and friction — often from shoes, walking patterns, or areas that bear extra weight.

At Foot RX Health & Wellness, callus treatment is more than making your feet look better. It’s about safe, clinical foot care and helping you maintain healthier, more comfortable feet.

✨ Gentle callus reduction
✨ Professional foot assessment
✨ Personalized foot-care recommendations
✨ RN-led care
✨ Special attention for seniors and high-risk feet

🚨 Please don’t dig, cut, or shave deep calluses at home. Improper removal can lead to skin injury and infection, especially for people with diabetes or other conditions affecting circulation or sensation.

Your feet carry you every day. Give them the care they deserve. 💙

When Thick Toenails Are More Than “Just Thick Nails” 👣

Have you ever seen toenails that are extremely thick, yellow/brown, curved, crumbly, or have a significant amount of hard keratin buildup underneath?

This is called subungual hyperkeratosis—an excessive buildup of keratin beneath the nail. In more advanced cases, the nail itself can become severely thickened, elongated, and curved, a condition that may be consistent with onychogryphosis (“ram’s horn nail”). (DermNet®)

These changes can occur for several reasons, including:

🦶 Fungal nail infection
🦶 Repeated trauma or pressure from shoes
🦶 Poor circulation
🦶 Aging
🦶 Certain skin conditions
🦶 Long-standing nail dystrophy

Important: A thick or discolored nail does NOT automatically mean fungus. Several nail conditions can look similar, so proper assessment is important. Nail testing may be recommended when fungal infection is suspected. (DermNet®)

Why professional foot care matters

When nails become this thick, attempting to cut them at home can result in:

❌ Cuts or skin injury
❌ Bleeding
❌ Ingrown nails
❌ Infection
❌ Damage to the nail bed

Regular professional foot care can help maintain nail length, reduce excessive buildup, improve comfort, and identify changes that may need medical evaluation.

At Foot RX Health & Wellness, we believe foot care is more than making feet “look better.”

It’s about assessment. Education. Prevention. Comfort. And knowing when a foot needs more than routine care. 💚🩵

📍 If your toenails are becoming unusually thick, discolored, painful, curved, or difficult to manage, don’t ignore them.

Your feet deserve clinical attention—not just cosmetic care.

✂️ Think Twice Before Trimming Your Own Toenails! 👣

As we age, something as simple as trimming toenails can become a serious health risk.

Seniors are at a higher risk of:
🩸 Cuts that won’t heal properly
🦠 Infections that can spread quickly
🩹 Ingrown toenails
⚠️ Falls from poor balance while reaching their feet
🦶 Foot ulcers, especially for those with diabetes or poor circulation

If you have diabetes, neuropathy, poor vision, arthritis, limited mobility, or take blood thinners, trimming your own toenails can lead to complications that may require medical treatment—or even hospitalization.

At Foot RX Health, we provide safe, professional foot care focused on your health—not cosmetic pedicures. Our goal is to help you stay safe, mobile, and independent while preventing avoidable foot problems.

✅ Routine toenail trimming
✅ Diabetic & high-risk foot care
✅ Thick toenail management
✅ Foot assessments
✅ Mobile services throughout the DFW area

Healthy feet mean a healthier life. Don’t risk your independence over a pair of nail clippers.

👣 Love your spa pedicures? If you have diabetes, read this first! 👣
We all love the relaxation of a standard salon pedicure. But if you are living with diabetes or are considered high-risk, what happens between those pampering sessions matters immensely for your health.

That’s where a Nurse-Led Medical Pedicure comes in.

While a traditional salon focuses on making your feet look pretty, a medical pedicure focuses on keeping your feet safe and healthy. Diabetes can cause neuropathy (loss of feeling) and poor circulation. A tiny nick from a nail tech or a microscopic fungal infection from a soaking tub can quickly turn into a serious, slow-healing wound.

✨ At FootRX Health, my focus isn’t on cosmetic foot care—it’s on foot health.

As a Registered Nurse, my priority is helping clients maintain healthy feet through preventative and therapeutic care, especially those with diabetes, poor circulation, neuropathy, or other high-risk conditions.

While healthy feet often look better after treatment, my goal is never just appearance—it’s reducing pain, preventing complications, improving mobility, and helping you stay active and independent.

Health over cosmetics. Prevention over problems.

Your feet carry you through life—they deserve healthcare, not just a makeover. 💙
