📍 NewBo City Market | Cedar Rapids, Iowa Bumblebee Lotus started as a way to work through my own healing. After struggling with my mental health for years, I needed something that gave me purpose—something that reminded me I could still grow, even from the mess. The name comes from that idea: the bumblebee, small but relentless… and the lotus, blooming from the mud. I’ve been lucky to have support from my family, especially my husband, my mom, and my kids. But losing my dad in January lit a fire in me I didn’t expect. He was so proud of what I was building, and I carry that with me every day. The scribble bee in my logo is a little tribute to him, inspired by the scribble dog he used to draw. This isn’t just about crystals, sage, or dream catchers—it’s about finding light, honoring the hard stuff, and turning pain into something that might help someone else heal too. I’m always learning, growing, and adding new things to Bumblebee Lotus, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. It truly means the world to me! Xoxo,

Ever wonder what I do when I am not at NewBo City Market?? I can assure you it isn't ever being lazy or "not wanting to be there" like I have heard said about me. 🙄

Yesterday, I went to open the shop and was there til bout 1230pm. I then came home and worked on back end business stuff cuz everything was here. After that, I priced and packed things and went to Lindale Mall to reset my end cap and Madi's space at Wolf Den Marketplace. Today, I worked on a couple new product ideas, put away the disaster I had made while creating things, did dishes, took the recycling out, organized my "office" and made dinner for the fam. Of course my washing machine said FU while I was attempting to tackle the laundry mountain taking over my office and forced me to spend time figuring out how to fix it by myself. I DID IT THO!

I'ma be totally honest with you. I can't create all the things at my shop cuz I don't have room for all the supplies I need, so I do it at home. I cannot restock multiple locations with little to no back stock, so my "weekend" is spent working 98% of the time too.

You guys... I have lists for my lists. I forgot I ordered stuff until I find it hidden on a shelf behind something else and had already ordered more. I print things for the shop and accidently leave them at home... for multiple days. I make too many of things sometimes just cuz it was fun... and then have to sit on them forever until someone else thinks they're cute and has to have them.

I am a human. I f**k up. I also do amazing things sometimes. It's all part of the experience. Just because you don't see me there doesn't mean I'm off on a vacation and doing nothing.

I am a mom, wife and business owner. I have like 47 jobs within those 3. Our entire family (aka my "staff") being sick last week did not help matters any. We are bouncing back slowly but surely.

Having a lil family business is pretty dope and I'm so glad I took the leap!! Insanely hard sometimes but absolutely worth it. 💛

I'm excited to announce that Bumblebee Lotus will be popping up in another location as well as NewBo City Market and Wolf Den Marketplace!!

The location will be dropped as soon as my stuff is in there!! Should be soon-ish so stay tuned!! Exact date to be determined! 🙃

Madi and I went to check it out today and it felt like home. From the second we walked in, we were both in awe. The energy was perfect, the layout was even better and I truly cannot wait to be featured there!!

I will probably drop sneak peeks as it gets closer... for now I'm leaving you with this. 🖤

Ok Idk about any of you guys but this would have been the best thing ever when I had little kids bringing home art projects nonstop. I feel like I would be doing a disservice to ya'll if I skipped past this and didn't share for everyone else who may not know. Mind blown. Genius idea. Might hafta do it w some of the bins of paper I still have sitting around collecting dust 😂

The soundtrack of my life is "Down With The Sickness" but not in the way they mean...

I am over this s**t. Whatever has been going around our house is apparently not done with us yet. 😔 I felt like absolute s**t yesterday and was really hoping I'd be feeling better today, but here we are.

Unfortunately, the shop at NewBo City Market is gonna be CLOSED again today. I was really hoping we'd be back, but I don't wanna push it and end up feeling worse or getting anyone else sick.

We're shooting for being back tmrw and someone will def be there the rest of the weekend, even if it's not me.

Hope y'all have a great Thursday!! If you need me, I'll be bathrobe pimpin at home all day w my Dayquil and all the positive healing vibes. Stay safe from the s**t going around... idk what this even is other than some bulls**t. 🤧

The shop at NewBo City Market is gonna be CLOSED today.

Madi is sick as hell and I def caught whatever she has. YAAAAY. 😔 I felt like s**t and really drained yesterday and was hoping I could just power thru and cover the shop today, but waking up this morning, that's not gonna happen.

I'm gonna take today to rest up and pump myself full of meds so I can hopefully be there the rest of the week. It's def that time of year again and I don't wanna get anyone else sick cuz this s**t sucks. 😔

You can still shop online today and hopefully I'll be back tmrw feeling a whole lot better than I do today.

Alright friends... I was up til 2am putting together little gifts to celebrate me being in business for 2 years!!

I have 22 left... and you can literally come spend $1 and take home a whole little present. 🫶 I will be here til 4pm and once the bags are gone they're gone!

Ok friends I need your help.

A couple months ago, I was randomly given a pen. It has become my absolute favorite to write with and I would like to get more. Problem is, I have NO IDEA who it was, what their business was called, or how to find them, aside from this approach... which may or may not work.

If you were this person, or recognize who it could be, comment below or come see me when you can!! 🤣 She has brown hair and that's all I know. She told me she randomly gives them out to people and I need to find her again! (It was not someone I know or I wouldn't need this post 🙃)

I kid you not I have used this pen every day since I got it and now that it is completely dried up, I could order ink replacements for it but that won't help me figure out who gave this to me. I would also much rather support their business and buy another pen than hit up Amazon. 😅
