Because babies make their own schedules 😅, I have to be intentional about how many birth clients I accept each month. 🤍

I’m also currently accepting a limited number of postpartum families with babies under 1 year old.

Postpartum support is available — even if I wasn’t your birth doula. 🌿

One thing I’m really passionate about is helping families realize postpartum support is still valuable long after birth. Some families reach out weeks postpartum, others months later, and sometimes parents simply need extra support, reassurance, education, recovery help, resources, or another set of hands during a hard season.

Support doesn’t end after birth. 🤍

If you’ve been wondering whether doula support may still be available for your family, feel free to reach out.

✨ Medicaid accepted for eligible doula support services.

A lot of emphasis goes into creating a birth plan… but what about a postpartum plan? 🤍

For months, families prepare for labor:
• what hospital to go to
• what comfort measures to use
• who will be in the room
• what they hope birth looks like

But postpartum deserves preparation too.

Did you know breastfeeding mothers spend an average of roughly 140 minutes per day feeding their baby? That’s over 2 hours every single day — and that doesn’t include diaper changes, pumping, soothing, recovery, laundry, meals, or trying to sleep.

One major reason many moms stop breastfeeding earlier than planned is unmet expectations. Not because they’re failing — but because postpartum reality looked very different than expected.

Postpartum planning is more than buying baby items.

It’s asking:
• Who is helping care for mom while she heals?
• Who will help if baby wants to feed all night?
• What happens if recovery is harder than expected?
• Will someone remind mom to eat and hydrate?
• Does mom know what normal newborn behavior actually looks like?
• What support is in place for both emotionally and physically?
• What happens when the support partner returns to work?
• What will daily life realistically look like with older siblings?

So many families spend months preparing for the birth itself — but not as much time preparing for the weeks after.

If you’re preparing for a new baby and want help creating a realistic postpartum support plan, feel free to reach out. I’d love to help support your family through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.🤍

Sleep charts…I’m not always crazy about these because babies are not one-size-fits-all… but they could be used as a general guide as long as you take a few things into consideration.

Some babies naturally run warmer, some cooler, and fabric matters more than many people realize. A thick fleece sleeper and a lightweight cotton sleeper are going to hold heat VERY differently.

The goal isn’t to follow a chart —
it’s to keep baby comfortable, not too hot and not too cold.

A few reminders:

🤍Feel your baby’s chest or back, not just hands and feet
🤍Watch for signs of overheating like sweating, flushed cheeks, damp hair, or rapid breathing
🤍Sleep sacks are generally safer than loose blankets
🤍Overheating is something you can try to reduce with safe sleep practices

And of course, safe sleep basics still matter most:
🤍 Alone
🤍 On their Back
🤍 In a Crib/Bassinet
🤍 Nothing loose in the sleep space

When in doubt, check your baby — not just the chart. 🤍

Every referral means more to me than people probably realize. There’s something really special about a family trusting me enough to share my name with someone they care about. 🤍

Every time someone recommends me to another family, tags my business, shares one of my posts, or speaks kindly about the support I provide… it genuinely means so much to me.

Not just because it supports my small business financially (though I’m incredibly thankful for that too), but because it reminds me that the support, education, compassion, and care I pour into this work is truly making a difference for families.

And honestly… that feeling never gets old.

I truly love what I doula. 💛

Thank you for trusting me during some of life’s most vulnerable, emotional, beautiful, and transformative seasons. It is such an honor to walk alongside families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, loss, and parenthood.

Your support, encouragement, and trust in my business truly means the world to me. 🤍

If you’ve worked with me before, shared my name with another family, tagged my business, or supported my work in any way — thank you. I see it, and I appreciate it more than you know.

Busy as a postpartum mom. 🐝

Some days postpartum can feel like:
feeding the baby while reheating coffee for the third time…
answering questions from older kids…
trying to remember if you drank water today…
washing bottles…
starting laundry…
stopping laundry…
finding the laundry in the washer tomorrow 😅

Mothers carry so much during the postpartum season — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

If you’re in the middle of the beautiful chaos right now, you’re not alone. 🤍

Support can make a huge difference during pregnancy and postpartum, and families were never meant to navigate this season without care and community.

If you’ve been thinking about adding doula support to your village, I’m always happy to answer questions and talk about what support can look like for your family. 🌼

I think a lot of people hear “milk donation” and automatically think of oversupply in freezers or moms donating extra milk bags.

But for some families, donor milk becomes part of a much bigger story. 🤍

Maybe it’s a premature baby in the NICU.
Maybe it’s unexpected medical complications.
Maybe it’s feeding challenges nobody planned for.
Or maybe it’s simply a family trying to make it through a vulnerable season one feeding at a time.

Human milk donation isn’t talked about nearly enough, but for some babies it can become an incredibly important bridge during difficult circumstances.

Today is World Human Milk Donation Day — and honestly, I think awareness matters just as much as donation itself. 🌿

Thank you to all the moms who have donated 🤍

It took a year…with lots of hours, a whole lot of dedication, and a 54-page PDF 😅 (if you know, you know)… but I officially completed my DONA Birth Doula Certification. 🥳🤍

One thing I think is important for families to understand is that there’s a difference between being trained as a doula and becoming fully certified through an organization like DONA International. Certification requires additional education, evaluations, client experience, documentation, accountability, and a much deeper level of professional development.

I completed my DONA Postpartum Certification last fall, and now I’ve officially completed my Birth Doula Certification too. 🤍

This definitely did not happen overnight. It took a lot of hard work, late nights, growth, learning, and dedication — all while actively supporting families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum over this last year.

And honestly… every certified doula out there knows putting together all the coursework, documentation, reading requirements, evaluations, resources, and certification paperwork is basically a second job in itself 😂

I’m incredibly grateful for every family who trusted me along the way. Truly.

And yes… seeing my name officially recognized by DONA feels truly amazing . 🥹✨

To all my pregnant AND postpartum clients — this is your reminder that you do not have to save all your questions for scheduled visits 😅🤍

One of the things that’s important to me as a doula is making sure families continue feeling supported in the in-between moments too.

For my pregnant clients, I offer telehealth support outside of in-person prenatal visits because there’s simply no way to fit every question, fear, symptom, thought, or birth preference conversation into a couple one-hour appointments.

And for my postpartum families, support doesn’t suddenly disappear after the “last postpartum visit” either.

I continue offering unlimited telehealth support because parenting questions don’t magically stop once newborn visits end.

Sometimes that looks like:
- feeding questions
- sleep struggles
- potty training
- toddler transitions
- postpartum emotions
- “is this normal?”
- or simply needing reassurance during a hard day or having another adult to talk to! 😆

I genuinely love continuing to support all families as they grow.

If you’re looking for additional support during pregnancy or postpartum please send me a message, I’d love to connect. 🤍

The mental load of motherhood is real.

It’s the constant remembering, planning, organizing, anticipating, and managing that often happens quietly behind the scenes.

Appointments. Feedings. Laundry. Groceries. School schedules. Medications. Bedtimes. Remembering who needs what, when, and how.

It’s exhausting. And it’s invisible.

Maternal mental health matters not just because motherhood is hard, but because many mothers are carrying invisible responsibilities that rarely get acknowledged.

If this feels familiar to you, you are not failing. You were never meant to carry everything alone. 🤍

Support matters. Rest matters. Being cared for matters, too.

If you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, or feeling overwhelmed and looking for additional support, I’d love to connect and see how I may be able to help support you and your family during this season. 🤍

A little follow-up to my post from this morning because I think understanding the different doula vs CLC roles in feeding support is really important. 💛

As doulas, we absolutely CAN:
• provide general breastfeeding education
• help with latch support, positioning and comfort measures
• encourage responsive feeding and skin-to-skin
• offer emotional support and reassurance
• provide evidence-based resources
• help families recognize when something may need additional attention

But additional lactation education through a CLC allows for deeper understanding of things like:
• lactation physiology and hormones
• common feeding challenges
• milk production and supply concerns
• pumping and bottle feeding education
• infant feeding behavior and regulation
• more in-depth latch and feeding support
• counseling families through common breastfeeding concerns

A CLC is also trained to better recognize when feeding challenges may be outside of normal newborn variation and when referral to an IBCLC or additional provider support may be appropriate.

That’s one of the reasons I decided to start this journey. The more I work with postpartum families, the more fascinated I become by the symbiotic relationship between mothers and babies — how hormones, feeding, bonding, regulation, sleep, and emotional wellbeing are all deeply interconnected between both mother and infant. The human body is truly incredible.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue deepening my understanding so I can better support families through feeding, postpartum recovery, and the transition into parenthood. 🤍
