When you train under the stress of your own bodyweight, you train your nervous system to flow.

Flow with simplicity.

Flow with grace.

Flow with ease.

Flow in your own personal space.

This produces an ease of everyday activities without actually trying to make them easier.

They just end up that way.

Training doesn't always need to involve external stimulus. Some of the best body awareness and spatial orientation I have learned and experienced was in workouts using just my own bodyweight. And my training age (ie; the number of years I have been training) is 28 so it's not about how long or short your training age is.

That's why I created my 8-week Bodyweight & Calisthenics Training Program. To help you get into the flow, with proper progression, meal plans, and a group to support you along the way.

Athletes are at a greater likelihood to develop adrenal fatigue and functional hypothyroidism because they are constantly withdrawing loads of energy from their energetic "bank account" . This sets up a year round athlete for even greater trouble overtime if they don't heed their mind and body's needs for rest and more metabolic foods. You can't produce energy you simply don't have.

Diet, rest, sleep, supplements, and awareness are keys but if you can overrule the ego you will really open up pathways to healing. The ego is often the greatest hindrance to an athletes recovery and healing because it means you must do less of everything that makes you "feel" like an athlete.

Less exercise duration.
Less intensity.
Less frequency.
Less adrenaline.

Get the ego out of the way and get on the path to recovery so you can outperform them all, over and over again.

Todays generation of children is the first one not expected to outlive their parents. Think about that.

We have worked so hard the last several decades to get rid of bacteria through antibiotics, sterilization, raising kids in "bubbles" and eating toxic food that kills the good bacteria of the microbiome that allow kids to become healthy adults and survive illness. This requires them to eat differently than you and I did growing up if they are to survive this expectation.

So knowing this and as the parent that I am now, nothing is more important to my growing child's physical health as good quality organic food including fermented foods, saturated fats, tuberous vegetables, and some fruits, no grains until 1 year of age and then only gluten free grains. Getting dirty and spending lots of time outside in the sunshine are super important behind sleep and adequate rest. It must all be high priority if we want them to outlive this abismal expectation.

In short, eat clean, get dirty and sleep hard.

Let's talk snacks! Because I am healing from chronic adrenal fatigue and breastfeeding, my caloric requirements are through the roof. I have a gnarly history of digestive dysfunction due to chronic stress specifically to dairy and grains and my metabolism has been super sensitive to fruits and grains for a long time too. So I wouldn't eat much of them or else I would store fat and my weight would shoot up like a mother. This is why I followed the Paleo diet for 7 years successfully.

But I continued to have adrenal issues, blood sugar handling problems and TOXICITY while on the Paleo diet because the root cause of my Metabolic distress was still not being addressed or truly identified yet..... until now!!!

I have made some huge strides in my health the last 12 weeks and balanced snacks are a critical part of my healing. This was my afternoon snack today as I am eating every 2-3 hours everyday. The healthier I get the less often I will need to eat. What are you snacking on today?

If you live in a state of chronic stress, anxiety, and adrenaline rushes, etc., the last thing you need to do is try to survive on salads and low fat living. On the flip side, consuming high fat and protein and low or no carbs is going to perpetuate an already dysfunctional metabolism. Calm your system. What are your 2019 health and performance goals???

My first is to balance my hormone levels since I just had a baby! 👶 I want as much energy as possible to keep up with the demands from my little one and I have a history of low adrenal function from burning myself out, living a very high stress lifestyle and not attending to my needs to properly recover. My thyroid has been borderline low for some time oh and chronic illness...that crushed my adrenals for sure. When my adrenals are not healthy I suffer with a lot of anxiety 😳 but when they are happy I don't!

My second goal is to increase my core strength...powerhouse style! I injured my back 2 weeks before giving birth and it absolutely impacted the delivery. Hey, stuff happens but now that I can control my training and be more intense about it, core specific training, physical therapy and Pilates are a big part of my weekly schedule.

Detox is not something any of us can get away with not doing anymore if we want to perform better than our competition much less thrive in our brain and body's health. I don't detox naturally very well due to an overload of toxins in my brain and body that was unknown to me until I was 30 something, because I have the gene mutation, because I endured 31 months of antibiotic use for chronic Lyme disease with co-infections, had mold illness, chemical sensitivities and a terribly leaky gut on top of a beast of a addiction for a really long time all making it so much harder for my detox pathways to work correctly and keep me healthy. Honestly, I wouldn't have had so many of the problems I had (and still battle) if I had been detoxing at a younger age on the regular. I have to stay on top of my detox game daily but now there is another twist... I have a baby and have had some postpartum complications and will need to go in for surgery soon that involves general anesthesia. YIKES! So, what do I do? Considering that baby has MTHFR mutation also... I think ahead and take action so I have been storing milk for baby to consume for 3 days post surgery while my body clears the drugs from my system, I drink milk thistle or dandelion root tea daily to support my liver and kidneys so they can flush the drugs out of my system faster, drink tons of filtered water from my filtration system and eat super clean like recipes from my Detox Recipes ebook (link in my profile). I also do skin brushing before showering, oil pulling and sweat! I plan on spending some time in my infrared sauna as soon as possible after the procedure and using the homeopathic supplements made by Unda to clear the path for these toxins to get out and get out fast so I can once again nurse my baby with no effects. Yes it's a process but it's necessary if I want to stay healthy and keep baby healthy. Nothing worth having ever comes easy. I guarantee 1 week after it's all said and done I will have lost some body too, cause that's what happens when you detox like a boss baby!
