Your partner may trigger the wound, but they didn't create it.

One of the most empowering things I ever learned was that healing starts when I stop making my partner responsible for wounds that existed long before he arrived.

Healthy, safe love is the most powerful healing space you will ever be part of and it's such an opportunity to lay down all that no longer serves you so you can receive the most unconditional expansive love you ever thought possible.

This is exactly why I became a Relationship Healer because we can't talk our way out of survival programs, but we can heal and release them.

Free yourself to enjoy your partner and write an epic love story that only gets better with time.

When I moved in with my partner I was in for a rude awakening...

Proximity does not equal connection.

We saw each other more when we didn't live together.

In Long-Term relationships it's easy to take advantage of your love by assuming proximity means connection and that the depth of your love will last without tending to it.

I know I did.

Now I know that connection is created by prioritizing the relationship and giving it the energy, time and resources it needs to thrive.

If you've been feeling more roommate vibes than romance and you're ready to reconnect book The Love Solution.

A 60 minute breakthrough session for couples that want to stop settling in long-term love and create cinematic love that lasts.

I love my fiancΓ©.

He's my favorite person in the world.

Which is why I was completely floored by how much our relationship changed when we moved in together.

I became a full-time stepmom.

We had a much bigger house to manage.

I was running my business.

Life got really full, really fast.

And somehow we were living together but seeing less of each other than when we lived apart.

The lightbulb moment?

Proximity does not equal connection.

We assumed living together meant we'd automatically feel closer.

But sharing a home doesn't create connection.

PRIORITIZING THE RELATIONSHIP DOES

Living together doesn't guarantee quality time, affection, laughter, or romance.

See before we lived together we did prioritize the relationship, we had 2-3 days a week of 3-5 hours of uninterrupted time.

So love is not the problem and it's not the reason you feel more roommate vibes than romance.

The problem is a lack of prioritization.

Ready to close the distance and reconnect?

For 10 years, I was stuck in short-term relationships.

Nobody checked all my boxes.

I'd meet someone, we'd have fun, then things would get serious and I'd realize they weren't meeting some standard, expectation, or vision I had for my future.

So I'd leave.

Then I met my fiance.

In the beginning, he checked all the boxes.

The relationship felt easy, natural and fun!

But as the years went on, there were absolutely moments where he didn't meet certain expectations I had.

And I found myself standing at a crossroads.

What's more important to me?

The relationship?

Or my expectations?

Because I couldn't have both.

I couldn't choose the relationship while staying angry that he wasn't becoming who I wanted him to be because that would cause us both to suffer.

So I chose the relationship.

I chose to appreciate what was in front of me instead of obsessing over what was missing.

And here's the crazy part 🀯

Nine years later, he has exceeded expectations I never even put on the list.

He has been the best thing that has ever happened to me.

So stop trying to turn your partner into the perfect person, you'll finally get the chance to discover who they really are.

Because who they are is even better than what you imagined ❀️

If I was struggling in my relationship, I'd go back to the basics before I entered some massive intervention.

Here are some simple relationship practices that completely transformed my long-term relationship into cinematic love that lasts.

Remember FATE

F - FUN (stop making the relationship all work and no play)

A - APPRECIATION (Tell your partner what you value, appreciate about them and the relationship, instead of only noticing what's wrong)

T - TOUCH (Hug, kiss, cuddle, hold hands it releases all the feel good chemicals and bonds you together)

E - EXPRESS YOURSELF (Get back to the things that light you up and bring you joy. Your partner fell in love with YOU)

These simple practices transformed my relationship and helped us create a relationship full of chemistry and connection.

Start with the basics.

And if you're already doing the basics and still feel stuck, book The Love Solution.

A 60-minute breakthrough session for couples who want to feel like they're on the same team, best friends, and lovers again.

What would happen if you told your partner the truth?

What would happen if you told your partner what you secretly wanted, needed, or desired?

What would happen if you told your partner about something they were saying or doing that was hurting you?

What would happen if you told your partner how much you value and appreciate them?

What would happen if you complimented your partner?

Say the thing, you're not saying in your relationship.

Your silence isn't protecting you, it's creating distance.

And if you need help healing the fear of authentic expression and embodying the confidence needed to be honest in love I'd love to work with you.

One of the biggest relationship lessons I've learned is that you can absolutely love your partner and still feel resentful toward them.

For a long time, I thought resentment meant that my partner clearly wasn't "the one" or compatible with me.

Now I see it differently.

Resentment is often just unexpressed hurt.

I had a want, need, or desire that wasn't met and that hurt.

Maybe I spoke up and still didn't feel understood.

Or I didn't speak up at all and assumed it was obvious.

Whatever the reason, I felt hurt.

And since it wasn't resolved the same hurt happens over and over again, getting bigger and bigger every time.

And when hurt isn't acknowledged, addressed, or healed, it often turns into resentment.

And the only reason it hurt in the first place is because I care.

If some random stranger says something hurtful online, I can usually brush it off.

But if my partner says it?

Or doesn't show up the way I hoped?

That hurts because we are bonded, connected, attached to each other.

The people we love have the greatest ability to hurt us because they matter the most to us.

Love and resentment can exist at the same time.

And the resentment is a messenger to heal the very wounds that lead to distance, disconnect and the end of the relationship.

Heal Resentment, before it too late πŸ’”

I thought love was this magical fairytale where you meet the one and live happily ever after.

And if you're not happy, then It must not be the right person, so onto the next.

Turns out truly successful long-term love comes down to those who learn the skills needed for lasting love.

And having had 10 years of short-term relationships put me in a massive relationship skill deficit.

These are some of the most embarrassing relationship lessons I've learned over the last 9 years.

(PS even though this list made me cringe now, we don't know what we don't know, so have some grace for yourself)

One of the biggest lessons I've learned in love is that the things we're most afraid to say are often the things that need to be said the most.

Staying quiet never brought me closer to my partner.

It only created distance.

Say the thing.

Even when it's scary, uncomfortable or you're afraid of the answer.

And if you need help book the Love Solution
