James Island Connector Run

Registration for 2026's James Island Connector Run 8K/5K is now open!

This year's event is October 17 at 8 AM, and our 8K is only $50 and our 5K is $40 through July. Once again, proceeds will benefit local animal rescues, and we will have the James Island start/finish and a wonderful after party.

We can't wait to see you on October 17, 2026 for our only chance to (legally) run or walk the James Island Connector. 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Gamma Xi Omega Chapter who were wonderful volunteers at this year's JICR, are hosting an electronic recycling event on Nov. 12-13 in downtown Charleston.

Our team competition is active for the 2026 Charlie Post Classic 15K & 5K on January 24 and registration is open. See you there!

If you won an award and did not get it at the run, please pick it up ASAP at Fleet Feet Mount Pleasant. You must pick up the award by November 7 (we cannot mail awards). A family member or friend can pick it up for you.

The James Island Connector Run is SATURDAY!

The Connector itself closes at 6 AM so our crew can set up the course. It will reopen once CPD gives the all clear after the runners and walkers finish.

If you are on James Island or Folly Beach and traveling downtown to the parking/shuttle site (300 Fishbourne St.), remember to take the Folly Rd./Wappoo Bridge route.

Come grab your JICR shirt, number, and parking placard TODAY (Thursday) so you're ready to go on Saturday. A friend or family member may pick up for you.

It's Throwback Thursday!

Check out today's pictures from our 2021 James Island Connector Run. It was so great being together with everyone that year. We had a beautiful day and a gorgeous medal.

Don't forget to pick up your packet TODAY at Fleet Feet Mount Pleasant if possible. You will be able to pick it up on Saturday pre-race, but picking it up in advance helps you start the day with less stress!

Race week is here!

Packet pick up is *Thursday* at Fleet Feet Mount Pleasant OR Saturday at the start/finish line.

We highly recommend picking up your packet on Thursday or having a friend or family member grab it for you.

Talk about a good mail day for our race committee! Our finishers medals, award medals, and shirts arrived last week.

The swag is ready for you on October 25 and so are we- less than a week to go.
