About a year ago today (give or take two days), Little Pineapples opened its sensory clinic doors for the very first time.

I truly can’t put into words how unbelievably blessed this past year has been. Occupational therapy is the best career I could have ever asked for, but the Little Pineapples community—the families, the children, the relationships we’ve built—has been something even more special.

This clinic was my dream come true, and it continues to be every single time one of my little kiddos smiles, laughs, learns something new, or lets me be part of their journey.

What a life I’ve been given. So incredibly grateful to God, and so thankful for every family who has trusted us over this past year. 🍍💛

This isn’t ‘cheating’ monkey bars—it’s skill building. 💪 By adding support underneath, we’re working on grip strength, upper body strength, core stability, motor planning, balance, and confidence while giving kiddos a way to practice the movement pattern successfully.

Our obstacle courses are packed with movement, problem-solving, balance, coordination, and just the right amount of friendly competition. Every lap is building skills while feeling like pure fun.

Did you know that snapping or clapping out syllables supports motor planning and phonological awareness? ✨🧠 Rhythmic cueing helps the brain segment sounds into smaller, more manageable units, making word production easier to organize and say 💬👋

A few months of working on upper body strength, motor planning, and coordination… and now hearing, “I got this.” 🥹
As an OT, I truly don’t know if there’s a better feeling than watching confidence grow right in front of you. (My reaction says it all 🥹💛)
