BROTHERS, IT’S TUESDAY — LET’S PRAY!

Tonight at 7:00 PM, The Tool Shed Prayer Line is back! As we enter a new month, we’re also beginning a NEW four-week prayer focus designed to help us seek God more intentionally for His direction, His will, and His wisdom for our lives.

OCTOBER PRAYER FOCUSES

Week 1 — New Insight & Strategies
Asking God to give us fresh vision, clarity, understanding, and God-given strategies for the situations we are facing.

Week 2 — Obedience to His Voice
Praying for the discernment to recognize God’s voice and the courage to obey when He speaks.

Week 3 — Submission to His Will
Surrendering our plans, desires, and expectations to God and trusting that His will is better than our own.

Week 4 — Operating in Godly Wisdom
Asking God for wisdom that goes beyond our own knowledge and understanding so that we can make decisions that honor Him.

🎀💜 OCTOBER IS A MONTH OF AWARENESS — AND MEN, WE HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY.

This month, The Tool Shed stands in support of both Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness: The women fighting this disease are our wives, mothers, daughters, sisters and friends. Encourage the women you love to prioritize their health. Support those fighting. Celebrate survivors. Remember those we’ve lost.

💜 Domestic Violence Awareness: Strength is not intimidation. Leadership is not control. Love should never require someone to live in fear. As men, we must model healthy relationships, exercise self-control, hold one another accountable and help create safe homes and communities.

Brothers, awareness means little if it never moves us to action. Let’s pray, support, speak up, encourage, protect and be part of the change.

Strong men don’t remain silent—they show up.

Brothers, please note that tonight’s Tool Shed Prayer Call has been cancelled. We will resume our regular Tuesday evening prayer call next Tuesday at 7:00 PM. We look forward to coming back together in prayer and continuing to stand in the gap for one another, our families, our communities, and the Kingdom!

Also, the Tool Shed Prayer Breakfast scheduled for this Saturday, October 3, has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. We will send out the new date and time shortly, so please be on the lookout for that announcement.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

BROTHERS, TAKING CARE OF YOUR HEALTH IS PART OF TAKING CARE OF YOUR FAMILY.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, and The Tool Shed wants to encourage every man to pay attention to his health, know his family history, and have the conversations that sometimes make us uncomfortable.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in the United States after skin cancer, and early prostate cancer often causes no symptoms. That means waiting until something feels wrong isn’t always the best approach.

The American Cancer Society recommends talking with your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of screening beginning around age 50 for men at average risk, age 45 for African American men and men with a father or brother diagnosed before age 65, and age 40 for men at even higher risk because more than one first-degree relative was diagnosed early. Screening is a personal decision to make with your healthcare provider.

Men, strength isn’t ignoring our health. Strength is being willing to address it.

🔹 Know your family history.
🔹 Talk with your doctor.
🔹 Ask whether screening is appropriate for you.
🔹 Encourage another brother to do the same.

Healthy men. Stronger families. Brighter tomorrows.

Brothers, it’s Tuesday, and that means it’s time for The Tool Shed Prayer Line! Tonight at 7:00 PM, we’re coming together to pray for our brothers, the men of The Tool Shed, our families, our communities, our nation, and men around the world. Our scripture for tonight is 1 Corinthians 16:13–14 (NLT): “Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love.” Whatever challenges you’re facing and whatever victories God has already given you, let’s come together and strengthen one another through prayer.
