Exciting news — A New Chapter!

If you've driven by recently, you may have noticed new signage in the window!

I am honored to share that I am now operating from the former Agape Spa location. Agape Spa has closed, and I have taken over the space with my practice, Natural Journey to Health.

Natural Journey to Health will continue to offer naturopathic consultations, holistic wellness support, and natural health education from this location. I would love for you to stop in and see the space.

Thank you for your continued support, I can't wait to welcome you in to see all the new services we have to offer!

Infrared saunas use infrared light to warm your body directly, usually at a lower temperature of around 120–150°F (although some, like ours, can reach 175°F+).

Because the heat is absorbed directly by the body, the experience can feel more gradual and comfortable. Sessions are typically longer, around 30–45+ minutes, making them a great option for a slower, recovery-focused experience.

Traditional dry saunas heat the air around you, usually reaching 170–200°F. Your body then works harder to cool itself, causing your heart rate and core temperature to rise more quickly.

Sessions are generally shorter, around 10–20 minutes, but the heat feels much more intense.

So what’s the difference?

Infrared: Great for longer, gentler sessions. Often used to support muscle recovery, relaxation, circulation, and skin health.

Traditional: Higher heat and intensity, with a stronger cardiovascular stimulus and heat-adaptation response.

There’s also an important difference in the research: infrared saunas have been explored for potential detoxification-related benefits, while traditional saunas have more research supporting cardiovascular benefits.

Our take?

Choose infrared if you want a gentler, longer, recovery-focused session.

Choose traditional if you prefer a hotter, more intense, cardiovascular-focused experience.

And remember: neither sauna “detoxes” your body on its own. Your liver, kidneys, gut, and skin are responsible for eliminating waste—but sauna can be one supportive part of your overall wellness routine.
