MEET THE CLASS OF 2023- Robel Mamo: Community Kitchen Program (CKP) offers refugees and immigrants a free 10-week course teaching skills and Safe Serve Certification needed to secure quality employment in the restaurant industry of Charlotte. Having a strong skill set in food services is a powerful tool for increasing employability and earning potential. The CKP training concentrates on the essentials of culinary arts. Tag someone who is passionate about opening up more career opportunities in the culinary arts!

The Golfing with the Chefs of Charlotte/Community Kitchen Program is offering additional gifts for early registration, which includes, touch screen MP4 player, bluetooth speaker and 2 night holtel stay vacation. The beauty is that you do not have to know anything about golfing to participate. This event is a fundraiser to sponsor free training for students interested in food service and Servsafe certification.

Friendly reminder that our Golfing with the chefs tournament getting really closer. We are soliciting tax-free donations to help defray the cost of $1500 per student. Please consider supporting our Community Kitchen Program by either playing in our golf tournament or donating to help us offset some of the expenses.

Who We Are: Our mission is to provide free culinary certification skills and education, along with workforce development and training to those in need of job placement.This program helps to create job security and aids each individual in building a career in cuisine. At Community Kitchen, we use food as a power tool; giving each student the ability to craft their own unique culinary skills.Our education program opens doors to those in need to provide jobs and to build their careers. Our outreach is broad because we want to be able to aid efforts within our community wherever it is needed at the time. This allows us to better provide to those in need in our community. At Community Kitchen we consistently provide meals to homeless, senior citizens, refugees, to youth programs to our first responders, to our veterans and whomever is in need of a nutritious meal. Within our program we have many outlets for outreach
