Premed seniors, if you are applying now your application cycle is underway. ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿ“š Move with intention: not panic.

This fall, focus on these 3 moves:

1๏ธโƒฃ First hopefully by now you have submitted your initial application so the next step is to complete secondaries strategically
Create a deadline tracker. Prioritize by deadline and fit. Reuse themes: not answers: and personalize every response.

2๏ธโƒฃ Prepare for interviews now
Practice aloud each week with someone you trust. Build your stories around service commitments, challenges youโ€™ve faced, and your answer as to why medicine. Research each school and prepare thoughtful questions.

3๏ธโƒฃ Check in with your support system and make sure you are taking care of yourself Keep one activity that has nothing to do with applications. Rest should be a part of the plan.

You do not have to navigate this season alone. Your support system matters. Your well-being matters. And your dream belongs here. ๐Ÿ’›

Save this for your fall reset, share it with a premed senior, and comment: Which move are you making this week? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ

Junior year is a BIG one: but you do not have to navigate it without a plan. ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿ“š

This fall, focus on 3 moves:

1๏ธโƒฃ Map your application timeline
Choose your target MCAT date, add backup dates, and work backward from your earliest realistic submission date.

2๏ธโƒฃ Build an MCAT plan you can sustain
Take a diagnostic. Block 8โ€“12 focused study hours each week. Do as many PRACTICE QUESTIONS as possible! Review your mistakes and schedule full-length exams with time to attack your weaknesses.

3๏ธโƒฃ Strengthen your experiences + relationships
Now itโ€™s about depth of experience. Choose 1โ€“2 meaningful experiences, ask mentors for feedback early, and keep an impact log of your role, hours, lessons, and community impact. Jot down any meaningful stories remember that continue to inspire you towards a career in medicine.

Your goal is not perfection. It is consistency, reflection, and intentional preparation. ๐Ÿฉต๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿพโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿพโ€โš•๏ธ premeds: your brilliance and leadership will carry you along the journey. โœจ

Save this for your fall planning session ๐Ÿ“Œ

Sophomore year is your time to build momentum! ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿ“š

As you begin the fall semester, focus on three moves:

๐Ÿ”ฌ Explore research opportunities
Look for a laboratory, clinical research project, faculty mentor, or summer program that matches your interests.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€โš•๏ธ Start shadowing
Reach out to physicians and explore different specialties, practice settings, and career paths.

๐Ÿค๐Ÿพ Build relationships with your professors
Attend office hours, participate in class, and allow your professors to get to know your goals. Strong letters of recommendation begin with genuine connections.

You do not need to have your entire medical journey figured out during sophomore year. Just start taking intentional steps.

Which move are you making first this semester: research, shadowing, or professor connections? Tell us below. โฌ‡๏ธ

Calling all incoming premed freshmen! ๐Ÿฉบโœจ Your journey to medical school starts RIGHT NOW, and we want to make sure you step onto campus with confidence, clarity, and community! ๐Ÿš€

Transitioning to college can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate it alone. Here are 3 essential things every premed freshman should tackle this fall semester:

1๏ธโƒฃ Build Rock-Solid Study Habits
College science courses are a major leap from high school. Ditch passive reading and master active recall, spaced repetition, and office hours from day one! ๐Ÿ“š

2๏ธโƒฃ Connect With a Pre-Med Advisor Early
Don't wait until junior year to map out your prerequisites and clinical experience. Introduce yourself to your advisor this semester and build that mentorship!

3๏ธโƒฃ Join the B-MED Community
Surround yourself with future physicians who look like you, share your ambition, and understand your journey. Download the B-MED app and plug into a network built for your success! ๐ŸŒ

Drop a ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ or ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ in the comments if you are stepping onto campus this fall as a premed freshman! Tag a study buddy who needs to see this!Black Med Connect (B-MED)
