That “fight-or-flight” feeling isn’t just stress. It’s your nervous system working overtime like something is wrong, even when you’re technically safe. You might notice it as irritability, anxiety, exhaustion, trouble sleeping, racing thoughts, or feeling like you can never fully relax.
At Inner Peace Counseling Services, we work with women who feel stuck in that constant state of stress. Trauma, anxiety, depression, and chronic life stress can keep your body in survival mode long after the moment has passed. Over time, it can feel like this is just “how you are”, but it’s not.
