This was one of the moments in our conversation that stayed with me.

Jennifer described receiving the message that her role was to be a steward for the plants.

Stewardship is a very different relationship than ownership.

It asks us to consider the living systems we're part of, rather than simply seeing nature as something to extract from or control.

That perspective feels especially important when we talk about medicine derived from the natural world.

Where do the plants come from?

How are they grown?

How are they processed?

What is the intention behind the work?

And what happens when we approach nature with relationship, respect, curiosity, and care?

We explore all of this and so much more in Episode 318, Where Plants, Astrology & Medicine Meet, with Jennifer Payeur.

I've been thinking about this phrase a lot lately.

Healing is multidimensional.

The physical body matters. So do the nervous system, emotions, environment, relationships, energetic field, and the many layers through which we experience being human.

In Episode 318, Jennifer Payeur and I explore this idea through our conversation about plants, medical astrology, nature, and the ways different systems may intersect.

For me, this isn't about replacing one model of medicine with another.

It's about becoming willing to look at the whole picture.

What might we notice if we allowed ourselves to ask better, bigger questions about the human experience?

That's what keeps me curious.

Sometimes healing begins with changing the lens through which we see our experience.

In Episode 318, Jennifer Payeur and I explored medical astrology and the idea that our health may be influenced by far more than what we can immediately see.

Our conversation brought me back to a question I have been exploring more deeply:

What happens when we begin to see ourselves as part of a much larger living system?

The physical body is one layer. But there are also emotional, energetic, environmental, relational, and perhaps even cosmic dimensions to our experience.

We don't have to have every answer to remain curious.

Sometimes seeing our experience within a larger context can create a little more compassion for the journey itself.

This is one of the many threads we explore in Episode 318 of the Spectrum of Health Podcast, Where Plants, Astrology & Medicine Meet with Jennifer Payeur.

Episode 318 | Nature’s Remedies

Rosemary is probably sitting in your kitchen right now.

But what happens when we look at familiar plants through a therapeutic lens?

In Episode 318, Jennifer Payeur and I explore some of the plants used by Nature Provides, including rosemary and St. John’s wort.

🌿 Rosemary has traditionally been associated with the liver, brain, hair, skin, and nails.

🌿 St. John’s wort is often known for its relationship with mood, but we also discuss its traditional use in connection with viral support and neuropathy.

What I love about this conversation is that it brings us back to something simple:

There is an extraordinary intelligence within the natural world, and we are still discovering how to work with it.

Episode 318 | Where Plants, Astrology & Medicine Meet with Jennifer Payeur

What happens when we begin to look at health through a wider lens?

In Episode 318 of the Spectrum of Health Podcast, I’m joined by my dear friend Jennifer Payeur of Nature Provides for a conversation that sits at the intersection of plants, astrology, medicine, and the deeper intelligence of nature.

Jen and I had just spent time together learning medical astrology, exploring the relationship between planetary influences, the human body, and the plants that have traditionally been associated with those influences.

We talk about:

🌿 The intelligence of plants and what it means to be a steward of nature
✨ Medical astrology and the relationship between our birth chart and health
πŸŒ™ How the larger cosmos may influence our physiology and energetic field
🌱 Plant stem cells, spagyric medicine, and the work being done at Nature Provides
🧬 The importance of sourcing, transparency, intention, and integrity in natural medicine
πŸ’« Why healing may need to be understood across physical, emotional, energetic, and environmental layers

This conversation is an invitation to expand the way we think about healing while staying curious about the connections between science, nature, and the multidimensional human.

Could your astrological chart offer another lens through which to understand your health?

In Episode 318, Jennifer Payeur and I talk about our recent experience learning medical astrology and why we found it so fascinating.

Medical astrology has a long history, including the work of Paracelsus, who explored relationships between planetary influences and medicinal plants.

The idea isn't that our health is predetermined.

Rather, what if our chart gives us another roadmap? Another way of observing patterns, understanding timing, and considering where we may need additional support?

For me, this connects to a much larger question I've been exploring for years:

How do the physical, emotional, energetic, environmental, and cosmic layers of our experience communicate with one another?

I know this perspective won't resonate with everyone. But I believe there is value in remaining curious about the questions.

Listen to Episode 318 for the full conversation with Jennifer Payeur.

Strong friendships do more than make life more enjoyable, they can help your body's nervous system too.

Whether it's sharing a meal, taking a walk, or having a meaningful conversation, spending time with people you care about can help your body release "oxytocin".

Oxytocin is often called the "feel-good" or "bonding" hormone and is associated with reduced stress, improved mood, and stronger emotional well-being.

Make time this week to connect with a friend or loved one, your mind and body will thank you πŸ˜‰
